Thank you for accommodating the time change for our group - great wine recommendation to accompany food choices. Only comment was calamari was salty but delicious! Excellent service and broad menu choices including flexibility in meal selection. Will be back

This is the second time we have met at Malt Pier. It is central for our friends from Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Ipswich so works for us. There is a nice view of the river and the staff are very accommodating. The food is delicious and a lovely feel in the place - very relaxed and casual. We will meet here again.:)

I am thinking my feedback was perhaps based on the food choice - sand crab omelette. It was lacking flavour and presentation was not inspiring . I do love the location so next time I would make an alternative choice on food. I will defiantly come back . Thanks

First impressions, there’s really nowhere to park if the roadside parking is full, of which there is very little. We booked a table and when we arrived was given menus and shown to the table. All good to that point. After we were shown to the table, we waited for about twenty minutes for someone to take our order for coffee and breakfast. We eventually gave up and left. While waiting, we tried numerous times to catch the eye of one of the waiters, to no avail. Frustratingly, when they walked around, they looked at their feet instead of scanning the restaurant for people requiring service. We went there in the first instance because it supposedly has a river view. Unfortunately, only three tables have any sort of view and it isn’t much more than water glimpses through vegetation. Overall, really disappointed in them spoiling a special occasion, our wedding anniversary. I would definitely not recommend Malt Pier.

I loved it but, too many dogs spoil the ambience. Dog owners brought their pets into the cafe on at least 2 separate occasions while we dined.

Very very poor customer service and all front desk staff was rude and no smile at all. Not many option in menu as well. There are so many better restaurants around with much better views and better food menu. I will never recommend anyone to go this place ever. It was my wife’s birthday and anniversary and mentioned as well while booking but still no special gesture from staff. We had bad experience for a beautiful day of our life.

First time at Malt. Chose this venue as you have a view of the Brisbane River and walkway along to Newstead House. Staff were friendly and courteous, service was prompt, food was excellent and was quick to the table. Pricing was pleasantly surprising for the quality. Well done to the Chef and team. Only issue was parking was limited due to construction in the area. Saying that I am already planning my return visit.

It isn't the place you enjoy going anymore. You are not really welcome. You have to ask for service everything seems a bother. The food is still lovely but there isn't a lot on the menu anymore. There are so many other places to go that like you being there. It is now more like a cafe experience.

Truly an amazing place and the staff create such a beautiful vibe. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff here. The food and drinks are delicious the views are great. Definitely coming back here again.

Overall, our experience was very poor. Firstly, despite requesting a highchair in our booking, one was not available for us (it would just have been nice to know in advance). The food, although quite delicious, was in small portions. After being at the cafe for 37 minutes we were asked to leave as they needed the table for another booking. This is despite it stating that we would have the table for 1 hour when booking. I don't think I will be returning here.
