   We went as a birthday lunch for my friend after receiving many recommendations however our experience led us to question these positive reviews. My friend (who’s birthday it was) ordered a sandwich and asked for an item to be removed however when the sandwich came and my friend took a bite, she found out that the item was in the sandwich. We understood that this happens so politely asked if we could have the sandwich changed etc which the waitress did. This took a long time as we had all finished our food by the time our food came however we assumed they were making the sandwich so we didn’t mind. However when the sandwich arrived it was the same sandwich (with the bite out of it) which had just had the item scraped out which my friend could’ve done herself and due to the nature of the item it left a distinct taste on the sandwich. It was very busy so we didn’t want to send it back a third time however we wanted to bring it to your attention as it has made us question whether we would return as this was not acceptable service.

   It was our first time dining at Medicine Bakery and we were really impressed! Staff were really friendly and helpful, made us feel comfortable straight away. Food was incredible, looked and tasted insanely good!

   gorgeous environment, fabulous food and friendly staff. two complaints - only one toilet for the whole cafe - is this even legal? and strange system where to order cakes to eat in we had to go back outside of cafe, stand in a queue, buy the cakes and bring them back in - crazy!

    Really busy however we were seated quickly and our order was taken quickly. The food was excellent and we also took home a doughnut from the bakery which was delicious. Will definitely visit again.

    Many of the baked goods had sadly sold out in the afternoon but the food we had off the menu was good. I would recommend you book! The service was quick and friendly.

    This was our first visit to Medicine Bakery. From entering the new St venue, we were very impressed by the decor, relaxed but lively atmosphere. Food was well above average, good value and very good portions. We will definitely go again.

    Beautiful venue - food was delicious but could have been exceptional with just a few minor tweaks. Too much on plate - some might like that’s but it was a little overwhelming. Steamy bacon should be crispy but these are minor points as I really enjoyed it. Bread and cakes amazing !

    Long queue outside waiting to be seated. Even though booked. Good food . A restaurant does not need dogs - especially barking dogs !! Not hygienic

    Love the decor, photography exhibition and the ambience. It was a little loud and hard to hear people across the table from me at times, but good was delicious and love the place. Bought 12 other friends who hadn't visited before and it was a big hit with everyone.

    Lovely hidden gem. I’ll be back. Staff were lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. Only slight thing that let my food down was there wasn’t enough syrup on my French toast and I found the Greek yoghurt extremely tart on some mouthfuls.

    Food was good but the service was exceptionally slow. We were running a little late, I tried calling but the mailbox was full. Service was slow and then our food came before our drinks. They bought 3 out of 4 mains, went to get our drinks then had to be reminded for the final meal. Said he would return shortly to check everything was ok but he never came back. We had to chase for the bill, which to be honest we could have walked out and I don’t think anyone would have noticed. The toilets were disgusting and with only one for the entire restaurant isn’t enough. It was my first time visiting and was excited to find a new lunch place but I won’t be returning.

    food and general vibe is always great but everytime I’ve been recently (and I’ve struggled to get a table!!) the service has been incredibly slow and inattentive. We waited almost twenty minutes for our drinks to arrive after ordering them and then our food appeared almost simultaneously. Waitress asked how our food was before I’d even taken a bite and then disappeared when we were trying to get the bill. I love this place but the staff (I suspect lack of training and poor management is the issue) are letting it down.

    Beautiful location but the restaurant service was a disappointment. Had to wait for nearly an hour for our food. After chasing more then once, no-one came back to let us know what was going on. The food was ok, far too salty (sourdough, eggs and bacon). Was compensated by getting our drinks for free. Saving grace was the guy out the front working on the cake / donut stall. His customer service was spot on; polite, helpful, courteous and cheerful.

    Our waitress was lovely, and her service was great. However we had to wait over 45 minutes for our drinks, our food arrived and was eaten before they came out, we asked a couple of times about them and it was just ‘coming soon’. No blame on the waitress but we did notice tables around us were having the same issue, so clearly the barista part of the restaurant needs help or more staff members as that wait time is not acceptable. I would still recommend Medicine as I have been plenty or times and whilst service does tend to be abit slow, the food is really nice. Just hopefully the speed of service will get better.

    Food was to die for! Absolutely fantastic! The only thing I would mention is that we felt a little rushed, as they have such a high turnover of tables we had to be out pretty fast. It also took a while to get seated even though we had a booking. The staff were lovely though and the place is beautiful- we couldn't believe all the plants were real!

    La espera rara, casi no hay lugar y la persona en la entrada parece un militar preguntando si tenes reserva y donde esperar. La atención no fue lo mejor de mundo. La comida muy bien aunque el chai latte estaba un poco frío. Volvería porque en gusto el lugar y la comida

    Dined here with four other work colleagues for lunch. I have been here a few times before and never had any issues. However this time we found that the service was poor. I don't know if they were short staffed, or whether it's because we seemed to be sat far from others, but it kept seeming like we were forgotten about. It took ages to take our food order, a while to get drinks served to us and then quite a while for us to be sat with our finished plates waiting to get the bill. It was clear that one of the food orders was forgotten - someone serving said 'oh I'll just get yours it's coming in a minute'. However he went off doing other things and we had pretty much finished ours by the time her sandwich came out. However, we didn't really get an explanation it was missed, but it was obvious. The wine served was different to what was on the menu. When we questioned this the person serving seemed confused what the issue was. It would have been nice, especially due to the meal being missed some sort of compensation. We were on a work lunch and it put us behind and is poor service. It was a disappointing experience, especially as I had boasted about this place to my colleagues who were visiting from outside of London.
