   Excellent service, great choice of food. Our booking at 9.00pm, so not everything on menu available. (Mussels, black pudding) but still loads of choice from what was available. My partner had chicken balmoral and I have baked cod. Both delicious 😋. Will definitely go back

   Staff friendly. Was busy whrn we went and there was a long wait for food to ve cbe served. Error with one of the starters, but quickly rectified Haggis lasagne was almost all pasta, very little haggis, Mushroom stroganoff was an unusual colour but tasted OK. Wine prices reasonable. We were a bit rushed to get to a concert because of delays. We had allowed plenty of time when booking and the delays led to it overrunning ran over time they asked for table to be vacated by. Notvsurd if problem was not enough staff?

   Terrific food good value maybe ease off on the constant Jacobite drone ( if not turn the volume down a little ). One other thing toilets downstairs could be a bit better

   Overall the food was very good but quite expensive for a set lunch - The wine was very expensive for standard house wines.

   Very nice restaurant with good food and good service. Only problem was that some of us were unable to read the menu properly due to the poor lighting.

   Would recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food and staff. I have non-allergenic dietary sensitivities and these were willingly catered for. The ribeye steaks were of highest quality. The waiting staff were extremely personable and engaging and yet achieved the correct balance of being attentive but not intrusive. Would visit again

    There were 8 of us and we all enjoyed our food. The staff were very good. We did have to ask a few times for more drinks, etc but wasn't a big problem. We had the lunch menu which was good value for money.

    First visit after being recommended. Had a really nice meal. Three fish and one mushroom stroganoff ( first time on the menu and was very tasty) Very nice restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. Staff were fantastic - so friendly and efficient.

    Lovely restaurant and food very good. One problem however was that the restaurant was very cold. One of our group of three had coat around her shoulders and I had mine wrapped around my legs. A diner at the next table had her coat and scarf on. Staff completely ignored this. It was a very cold day but sitting feeling cold takes pleasure away from eating out. Despite every other aspect of experience being free of problems I don’t think I will return or recommend to others

    For me the music was a little too loud. We were a group and we struggled to hear ourselves, having to really speak over the music. 2 of our guests ordered salmon starter at 7pm and there was none left! That is poor in terms of stock. We are in Scotland, and cannot eat salmon in a good Glasgow restaurant. Service friendly.

    First visit to this Scottish-based eatery in the Merchant City area of Galasgow, it won't be the last! On a cold Satruday lunchtime, we were the first customers of the day and received a warm and friendly welcome. Staff were polite, chatty, informative and efficient - water was on the table before we sat down. The Luch Menu, at £16 for 2-courses, had a great selection of food is good value. My only personal quip (due to poor eyesight) is that the menu/text were very small. However, this did not detract from the great food on offer: I had Stornoway Black Puccing Fritter on sourdough toast with a lovely poached egg on top and 'my better half' plumped for the creamy mushrooms with sourdough bread, all scoffed easily. We both opted for the Steak & Sausage Pie with big chips and veg, excellent. Food was washed down with a nice but rather expensive bottle of Sauvignon Blanc (£25). Service was excellent and staff were always willing to chat and explain things. All-in-all, a lovely lunch and we will be back soon.

    Very pleasant surroundings, competent and friendly staff, nice quiet music levels, but food a bit disappointing. Tasty enough but the pork medallions were very tough - I think maybe they’d been kept warm in a bain marie for a long time.

    Our server was very friendly and chatty and so helpful (sorry we didn’t get his name, he was a young polish guy). Food was excellent and great value/portion sizes. We were able to bring balloons and cake for my dads birthday and the servers were a fantastic help with this. Would absolutely recommend and we will be back.

    Lovely meal for my husband’s birthday. Beautiful starters and delicious mains too! There were 4 adults dining, we had a variety of starters including the Stornaway black pudding fritter on sourdough toast with a poached egg on top, haggis croquettes and red pepper & goats cheese fritters. Mains were haggis, neeps & tatties with a whisky sauce (amazing!), haggis lasagne with garlic bread, traditional fish & chips and Chicken Balmoral. No complaints from anyone - superb! Service was excellent, very attentive, ensured everything was to our requirements. Great atmosphere and not too noisy, even though it was busy.

    It’s a lovely restaurant setting with good cocktails but the food let this place down badly. Bones in the Cullen skink, steak very overdone, and haggis neeps and tarries that had clearly sat under the hot plate for so long the pepper sauce had formed a skin and the top of the neeps and tatties had gone crispy. Very disappointing meal.

    Really delicious scottish menu with plenty of options for us. A very lovely atmosphere inside and courteous staff. We would recommend and hope to return soon. This was a birthday treat.
