Specializing in Aburi, or flamed-seared, sushi, the act of applying flame directly and lightly searing sushi enhances the natural flavours and textures of the seafood.     We celebrated our anniversary here and enjoyed our meal and sake flights! The service was fantastic and we’re glad we made an early dinner reservation so we could enjoy the view. Thank you, Miku!

    My partner and I had the best time having dinner at Miku. For our first time there, I asked if we could have a table with a view and we did! The ambiance and service were top notch. We were expecting to order sushis but got seduced by the duck breast and rib steak on the menu and it was truly delicious. The ingredients (mushrooms, miso, eggplant...) tasted better than I ever tasted them before. Then, we still ordered one portion of sushis just out of curiosity and it tasted like heaven. We will be back by ourselves and also if we have guests we want to impress!

    Date with my wife (42 years married) on our way to LA for a cruise. Stop over in Vancouver for the night. Had a very memorable meal. The food is amazing. Took our time and savored every bite. Ambiance, service and food all 10/10!!!

    not the quality that I expected in this price range. I think the price is for the atmosphere not for the food. and if some menu is out of season, you should take it out from the menu. I ordered an uni nigiri because it's on the menu and it was horrible. 1 piece of uni nigiri is 15 cad. boiled ebi nigiri were not in a good shape either. it was dry. Some rolls and oshis were delicious. I like how they cook the rice. I think micro management is required for better experience.

    The lunch menu is well appointed and there is a lot of variety to satiate your culinary curiosity. I have been a long time patron of the restaurant and in the many years since; I have brought friends, family, both local and overseas visitors to enjoy Miku Restaurant. The ambience, service and most of all the food, is always outstanding. We had a great time on my last visit and my date was impressed with the food, she honestly agreed with me that Miku is now her favourite Restaurant.

    - Delicious food - Great service - Modern interior with tasteful Japanese artistic flair - Pricey but worth the experience Great place to enjoy a modern take on Japanese cuisine. The servers are knowledgeable about each ingredient used and come by regularly to ensure all needs are met. We were hoping for a waterfront view, but guests greater than 4 could not be accommodated. Even still, the booths we sat in were classy and pleasant. Highly recommend the Miku and Waterfront Kaiseki for the full Miku experience. Although pricey, it is a great option to impress guests with and enjoy exclusive items not found on the regular menu. I will definitely come back, next time with a smaller party ;)

    If I could give 10 stars I would. The food blew our minds ! It was not only better than any sushi or relative of sushi but gorgeous! The flavors just melted in your mouth. The sake flight was an eye opener as well. We tried to eat there again but ran out of time. Absolute delight!! As was our server Christine who graciously took her time explaining the intricacies of each dish.

    The service was wonderful! The Waygu carpaccio was amazing! full of flavour! The lobster ceviche is ok as the vinegar is a little bit overpowering the lobster. The Miso sablefish was great too! It was vert tender and juicy. However, the Miku Signature Selection was a disappointment. The rice were hard and very cold. It was not the regular sushi rice that we used to have. It was not what we expected.

    We were in Vancouver for a few days and booked Miku. the service, the food and everything in between was impeccable. My fiancé could not stop raving about his food and has yet to try a piece of sushi that is tastier than the one he had at Miku. We were one the last one customers in the restaurant but they didn’t treat us any differently. Definitely stopping by again when we’re back in Vancouver.

    Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They know every aspect of the dish and show enthusiasm when presenting. The plating is also beautiful and makes the dishes even tastier. Kaiseki is expensive but so worth it. If you tell them it’s someone’s birthday, they can write a message on the plate in the dessert course of the Kaiseki. Drinks are also 10/10. Ours had a little origami decor, very cute. Bathrooms kept nice and clean.
