Had a nice dinner at around 6p. The place was not crowded. Food was great. Our waiter was conscientious & nice but very forgetful and looked like he needed to probably get a good nights sleep.

This was my first visit to Mimi's Cafe and overall it was just okay. I made reservations through OpenTable, however, my party was seated 1 hour after the reservation time. When anyone makes a reservation, it is expected the table is given within 15 minutes, however this was not the case. I get it was Mother's Day, but when many tables that are done eating AND paying, politely ask them to leave. Decor and atmosphere was on point with Southern culture and vibe. Regarding the food, the French Pot Roast was very salty and sauce was overpowering. The Chicken Parmesean was not consistent, 3 people in my party ordered it, 1 was made with both cheeses on top of the chicken, the other 2 had 1 or the other cheese. The saving grace was their molten chocolate lava cake, it was very well made and highly recommend trying it. Overall, I would try this place when it is not busy, but expect your reservations not to be granted by the appointed time.

Had a reservation for 12:30, checked in 20minutes prior and was never told that my reservation wasn’t a true reservation and I’d be waiting as long as a regular walk in. I had my elderly mother and 2 small children with me and was not seated till after 2. General manager was nowhere to be found, leaving the young hostesses to try to deal with multiple disgruntled customers alone. Multiple servers standing around doing nothing while tables were overcrowded with dirty dishes, refills were far and few, and even once seated the manager still didn’t come and introduce himself and apologize for the wait to us or any of the other larger parties around us. The food was flavorless and came out cold and the last child’s dish came out significantly later than everyone else’s when that should have been part of the first dishes out. When I spoke to the manager who finally decided to show his face once the restaurant was on the emptier side he became defensive and tried to blame everything else instead of taking accountability for his lack of management skills. And to top it off I had to ask for the kids desserts that came with their meals after the check was paid because they “forgot”. This restaurant used to be a favorite for us for 20 plus years and it has significantly gone downhill. They need a new GM that actually cares and supports their staff immediately.

Went for Mother’s Day with a reservation, we were expecting to wait even with a reservation but it was over an hour wait. The people who complained more were accommodated before us. When I made the reservation they was a standard menu option which I selected, but they were only offering a very limited holiday menu. We left. Thanks for reminding us why we don’t don’t go out for holidays.

Made a reservation for Mother’s Day two weeks in advance. Our reservation was for 11:30am and “regular menu” was confirmed at time of reservation. We were seated at 12:15pm after inquiring about the wait time & that large parties like ours with no reservations were being seated before us. We were handed a 3 course dinner menu with 5 choices on it. We had to get the manager involved to get the regular menu. We ended up stuck with a breakfast only menu. Our order was taken. Drinks were brought out 2 at a time for a party of 9. After 75 minutes, our food was brought out 1 plate at a time with none of our special requests/needs taken into account. Eggs undercooked. Toast not buttered. Extra bacon (2 orders) we didn’t order brought out in which we were charged an extra $28 for, which was 4 extra orders of bacon. We had to go round & round a couple times to get half the extra charges removed. Our waiter was polite and apologetic which we appreciated We were there over 3 hours which really dampened our day. We will not be returning. I realize it was Mothers Day but they need a better system in place.

Showed up to an 11:15 am reservation. I Was told it's mother's day, and even tho you have a reservation you have to wait 45 minutes to an hour for a table Here's an idea. don't let people make reservations if you're not going to honor them.

They said that the wait time with the reservation is 45 minutes to an hour and without was 2 to 3 hours, but they seated the people right in front of us in line immediately, even though they had a reservation at the same time as us.

This is the worst dining experience I’ve had in a really long time. If you make a reservation here, they do not honor it. They told us we were lucky we had made a reservation or it was gonna take 2 to 3 hours to see us. They then told us that we would have to wait about an hour for our reservation. They were rude about it and they were about 60 people there in the same boat. They basically take way more reservations than they can handle and when we actually got to the food over an hour later, it wasn’t great. Do not make a reservation here.

Food was NOT good. I ordered Eggs Benedict and the eggs were over cooked. Probably sat under the salamander too long. My husband's Omelet was average. My Mom ordered Corned Beef Hash and said hers was OK, but we had just been to a restaurant in La Verne for Easter that was much better. Certainly not what we have been use to at this location. Time to find another restaurant. Apparently, Mother's Day was too much for the kitchen. Kevin, our Server and his Dad Pedro have always provided excellent service.
