For Mother’s Day, the place was very busy. Even with a reservation we waited 30 minutes. Just the drinks took like an 20 minutes. Lunch an hour to be served. I think not enough staff or kitchen backed up. The server was nice mad food was decent. Probably on a regular day service may be better.

Overall, the experience was good, but definitely not on the high-end of good. The highlight with Mimi's is always the muffins - which everyone enjoyed and even ordered some to go. I personally ordered an egg white veggie omelet which did not look appetizing, and tasted just okay (overcooked and lacked any real flavor). The bacon seemed a lot more flimsy than I remembered, but was better once I had it cooked a little longer. The potatoes were "meh" and I wouldn't both spending the extra money on the onions and peppers since it didn't really enhance them for me. The mimosas were a hit with the two folks who had them. I heard the steak was a bit tough to cut and chew - I believe he ordered the strip and perhaps should have gone with the ribeye. But the cousin next to me cleaned his plate. Service was fair...not particularly attentive, which is interesting given their stand was literally right next to our table and it felt like more often than not there were a few of them standing right there chatting with each other. For a party of 6, I would have expected a couple more check-ins to be sure that everyone had what they needed. The more I think about it, the more I realize this simply wasn't that great of a brunch, especially given they weren't crowded. So I've gone back and adjusted my ratings accordingly.
