Our waiter Eddie was great! Food especially the Ceviche as well as the cocktails were pretty good and you can’t beat the location. We like that Miriam goes to each table like a gracious host...nice touch...
It was pretty good , we really enjoyed it .
Service was great ! Chef touching tables ...! Good job chef Miriam that mole , los sopesitos and the coconut crème brûlée 🤤🤤🤤🤤 We are definitely coming back soon. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Disorganized service starting from the hostess through the waitstaff. My bf and I checked in with the hostess a few minutes early for the reservation. She said the table just needed to be setup and then we could be seated. We ended up waiting more than 25 mins (15 mins past our actual reservation time). It wouldn’t have been a big deal if she set the expectation; we would’ve just waited at the bar with a drink in hand.
Once we were seated, we were double upped by the waiters- always asked twice for our drink orders, meal orders, and if we needed anything else. Unfortunately- this didn’t mean things were brought to us expeditiously. If anything, it might have even doubled our wait time. The only thing that came out quickly was one of the appetizers- tostones de pollo.
Service aside, the food was fine. Nothing to write home about. Even though I live nearby and love to eat out, I wouldn’t return here.
The presentation and taste of the two fish dishes we shared were great. The flavor combination was creative and delightful. They accommodated adjustments to the dishes. The staff is very attentive checking back and refilling drinks and chips. We even met Miriam who is so friendly.
Environment and vibe was great. Desserts were fabulous!
Came to this restaurant a week ago for a birthday party and this is now probably my favorite Mexican restaurant in Dallas! The Red Snapper filet with rice and seasonal veggies are AMAZING!
Very disappointing. The St. Valentine's menu was a joke. Expensive and very poor.
I've eaten here previously before on multiple occasions & decided to bring my family of four for Valentine's Night. I had to update the reservation from 2 to 4 guests the day of which I did through the booking app. But when we arrived it had not updated. So we were seated in the private area away from the main part of the restaurant. I didn't realize that it was a limited & selected menu which I later took issue with because there was no price visible. The service was not up to par as well. Though our waiter was friendly & attentive it took us too long to get our beverages. Then it took us too long to get our main course, which was really annoying since the couples around us who arrived well after we did were getting their meals before us. I ended up having to pay almost $263 w/ tip included for a meal that on any other day would not have cost that much. I love this restaurant and will come back but was very disappointed w/ this particular encounter. Especially since it was my family's first introduction to a place I spoke so highly about.
We decided to have a “Galentine‘s” girlfriends dinner but it turned out to be extremely disappointing. We were not aware beforehand when we made the reservation that there would be a prefix menu, but we love Mariam’s Cocina so much that we decided to stay, since we’ve visited the restaurant on so many other occasions and had good food and service experiences. Throughout our entire meal, we sent many things back because it was either overcooked, undercooked or actually even at times the completely wrong item than what we ordered. In the mist of our meal I was so frustrated I asked if I could just get some guacamole and was told they did not have any made for the evening, which I found hard to believe even at that point that a gourmet restaurant of that size had absolutely no avocados in the entire building... only to see at the conclusion of our meal the table next to us sat down and was provided with a big bowl of guacamole. Our overall dining experience was less than pleasant and that’s just saying it nicely! Miriam’s Cocina does not do prefix menus well and I would encourage anyone wanting to visit the restaurant to do so on a regular day and not holidays were prefix menus are the norm. Such a disappointing experience and Galentines!!!
Always a pleasure. My salad was fresh and delicious. Perfect for a business lunch
The service here is outstanding, and the food is good, but not great. I would go here again because I like the location, but the food is just average.
The food is absolutely delicious! The staff is super friendly and attentive.
Excellent food. Excellent service. Great atmosphere. Will be back soon!
Everything we had - street corn(!), pork dish, salmon tacos, guacamole, frozen margaritas - was excellent. Eddie, our server = top notch! We’ll be back.
Great new brunch menu! Steak and eggs, the burger and avo toast were fantastic!
Excellent food and beautiful restaurant! They have a great private room that would be super fun for a birthday dinner, too!
Food was delicious and staff were amazing!
This was a fun venture. The spice level could have been kicked up a notch, but Miriam and her staff were amazing. I haven’t been wowed by customer service in a while and she wowed me. If I lived in Dallas I would be a regular.
the creme brulee was out of this world! I cant wait to go back
Absolutely delicious and fabulous service! Will definitely be back!!
everything about Miriam’s Cocina is fabulous! From Miriam herself who warmly and graciously welcomes everyone to the incredible food!!! We will be coming back again and again! Loved everything about this lovely place!
Our experiences at Miriam Cocina have always been stellar with this one minor exception. We invited guests to come with us for a first-time visit, and were disappointed to find our service incredibly slow. Our server, who was very friendly and accommodating, was generally unavailable when we needed him, and when we asked for drink refills or more chips, he had to be reminded by the time he got back to our table. This was completely uncharacteristic of our previous experiences. Service has always been one of the reasons we choose Miriam's, particularly when Miriam stops by our table to say hello. We will definitely be back, but we hope that this doesn't happen again.
Best Mexican food in Dallas
Hostess was on the phone and clearly saw us but did not acknowledge us or greet us for a substantial amount of time. She did only when, possibly manager, came over near, she then told the person the ph”just a moment”, then greeted us like we just had arrived.
The food was great, skinny margaritas great, service a bit slow.
We LOVE Miriam Cocina. The food is delicious and the drinks are also. It's the best location in town, but we go there for the rood and drink. You can't go wrong!
The BEST queso verde cheese dip ever! The chicken soup was fab and the snapper was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Great patio overlooking Klyde Warren Park was fun people watching too.
This was a very enjoyable gem. Will most definitely be coming back
Mirim Cocina is a warm, inviting place with excellent food, knowledgeable staff and great design at great value. Very much appreciated the care that the wait staff took in helping me navigate my gluten allergy. Everything - from cocktails to dessert - was delicious.
Loved Miriam Cocina! The ambiance was amazing and the service was out of this world, we felt like we were at home. The corn and salmon tacos had a lot of flavor
Incredibly disappointing. My wife decided to celebrate her birthday here because we had a very good time when we tried it for lunch a few months back. Unfortunately, this time was not such a good experience. I'd like to note that she was so excited to go again, that we invited a few friends to join us. For starters the waiter, Robert was in a bad mood, which seemed to set the tone for the rest of the evening. Our appetizers were great and on time, cheese/ guacamole, tostones; however, my wife's entree (enchiladas Mar y Tierra) was a complete disaster. First, our dinner arrived 45 minutes after placing our order, and we were only one of five tables there. Our friend got her soup first, and waited the 45 minutes for us to get our food to eat, which of course meant she was now eating cold soup. When we finally got our entrees, the enchiladas were wrong. The order calls for 1 chicken, 1 asada, and 1 shrimp, and we got 1 chicken, 1 pork, 1 asada. No shrimp. When we tried the carne asada, the instant awful taste of the meat confirmed it had gone bad. It was truly a frustrating experience. We let the waiter and one of the cooks know after they approached our table to inquire, but unfortunately, they didn't try very hard to retain our business in the future. Removing the plate from our check was a given, and that was the extent of their solution. Very unfortunate for such a beautiful and promising place. Suffice it to say, we will not be returning.
It's nice to have another good restaurant in the Arts District/Uptown area. The food is very good and the ambiance is wonderful. Good service, good margaritas, good guacamole, good enchiladas.... what more could you ask for?
Great food & service. Miriam come to our table to visit. Excellent!
Our server, Roberto, made our evening delightful. We liked the menu which was inventive. The mole sauce was fab and the olla soup was great. Would definitely return
We really loved the different flavors of our food. The unique table wear. Our server was Alex and he was outstanding. We will be back.
Miriam the restaurant is only outshined by Miriam the owner. Everything she does is spectacular. You will not be disappointed.
The service was absolutely terrible. I wasn’t sure if we actually had a waiter as he took almost 20 minutes to come to the table to take our order. The food then took 20 more minutes to arrive. The appetizer wasn’t delivered until 40 minutes after our order was taken. We were only given one set of silverware for two people. The order for one of us wasn’t correct. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Date night on New Year’s eve. We had reservations for 745p but the guest at our table were still finishing up so we grabbed drinks at the bar. It was a busy night being New Year’s Eve so we did not mind waiting. Food and drinks were EXCELLENT! We got the Chicken Pibil tacos and the carne asada - both absolutely delicious. The restaurant is very sleek and modern but still harbors hints of Latin tradition and decor throughout without looking like most mexican restaurants. Service was good and would definitely go back next time in Dallas.
Always a treat for the senses! Great food and drink in a simply outstanding location.
Don’t miss this one!
Great food and efficient friendly service . We had a lovely table by the window looking out at a festive Klyde Warren Park. It was a fun time and a wonderful experience. Our waiter Kevin was outstanding.
Staff is friendly and attentive. Food is served so fast you won’t believe it is this good. Great dining experience.
