Staff polite and well presented, excellent at sitting us at a very nice table. Just gave up on us once we’d been served our mains. Our plates were finished and everyone’s glasses were empty as we watched staff just mill about and chat - I am not suggesting that there weren’t working, but the restaurant was almost empty and we were only a table of five. I don’t understand why the service came to such an abrupt halt. I tried to catch their eyes plenty of times but to no avail. Eventually I had to get up and ask if it was ok to have a look at the dessert menu and maybe order some more drinks - quite apart from the fact that our plates were still hadn’t been cleared. To be honest if it had just been myself and one other we would have just paid the bill and gone elsewhere. We weren’t in a hurry and were looking forward to leisurely lunch (and absolutely were prepared to have spent considerably more on drinks) - but the lack of attentiveness became quite uncomfortable and we couldn’t have ordered more if we tried. The food was lovely, great choices and the décor and view super. Just left a bit deflated.

Our group of seven had a mix of what the menu had to offer and the food was wonderful. Service took a while to take our order once we were seated. We were only asked what water we wanted and no-one took a drinks order beyond that. No-one checked on us during the meal.

The best vegan afternoon tea we've had. Good view and lovely space with a fab selection of tea. There we not many other people eating but we had all been bundled together which caused the noise level to be more than it needed to be.

The food was exceptional at the cost. Service was lovely from the front of house staff. The lower rating was down to the wait for the food to arrive, despite the restaurant not being overly busy.
