Mott 32 represents modern Hong Kong as well as a new chapter of Chinese dining. Named after the famed convenience store on 32 Mott Street in New York, the restaurant captures the dynamism of NYC’s vibrant Chinatown. It is a restaurant that embodies the Chinese culture and philosophy that has been shaped from generation-to-generation. It embraces flavors and ingredients from around China and the world and delivers it as home cooking should be, in a more rustic and honest way.

Farm-to-table cooking is at the heart of the restaurant’s menu. Mott 32 meticulously sources the finest ingredients, allowing the authentic flavors to shine with delicacies derived from Cantonese, Szechuan, and Beijing cultures.

We had a disappointing experience at Mott 32 on Christmas. We made our reservation on December 1 through OpenTable and preordered the Peking Duck ahead of time for our Christmas dinner. There was no communication from OpenTable or the restaurant about any changes. When we arrived, we were told they stopped working with OpenTable as of December 11 and initially couldn’t find our reservation. They were eventually able to seat us, but they could not honor the preordered Peking Duck, which was the main reason we chose this restaurant. At that point, being Christmas, we felt stuck and ordered other dishes instead, including the 10 oz A5 Japanese Miyazaki Wagyu, wagyu short rib, flat rice noodle beef, and soup dumplings. Our bill came out to almost $550 for a family of four. The A5 Wagyu was good, but overall the meal didn’t feel worth the price. The short ribs in particular tasted simply prepared, more like boiled meat with seasoning added afterward, and lacked depth of flavor. The service and ambiance were fine, and they did offer complimentary champagne, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, it didn’t really make up for the situation. For a holiday dinner at this price point, the lack of communication and the inability to honor a confirmed preorder really took away from the experience. We chose Mott 32 because of its reputation and were looking forward to this meal, so it was disappointing to leave feeling let down.

Mott 32 no longer uses OpenTable so if you make a reservation they will not have you on their list. Thankfully they were still able to accommodate us on Christmas Day for lunch. I’ve had this happen a few times. OpenTable you need to close these pages if they actually aren’t using the service anymore

Open Table no longer accepted by Mott 32 even if you booked on the app. I called Mott 32 to confirm the reservation cause we were running late and the hostess said that they longer use Open Table after 12/11/2025. 2. Slow food. Food took a long time to come out for the main course. Not sure what happened in the kitchen, but the wait staff tried to make the best of it. 3. Cold pork buns. Took a bite of a pork bun and it was cold. Almost like they had it sitting out and forgot to microwave it. 4. Ginger or lack there of. We ordered 4x pork soup dumplings and the soy/vinegar sauce dishes each came with only 2 measly strips of ginger. We asked for more, but never got it.

Made reservations to Mott 32 at 5:30pm for two. We were seated immediately upon arrival however it felt like it was in the back of the restaurant with no view of the entirety of the restaurant. Thus, ambience was extremely lacking and not what I had expected when booking. Service started off great with waters and recommendations from the waiter. However, our assigned server took his precious time. He took our orders for drinks and came back 15 mins later to take our food order. I had plans after dinner and did not expect such a ridiculous delay. He had way too many tables to handle and we felt ignored or forgotten for the most part. To expedite the process, we ordered dessert along with our food. Upon finishing up our entrees, server returned and asked if we wanted dessert to which we reminded him that we did so earlier. As a result, more time was wasted. Would I recommend or return? A definite no.

We’ve enjoyed Mott32 in Vancouver, and looked forward to Mott32 in Las Vegas at the Palazzo in the Venetian complex. The Peking Duck has to be ordered in advance. Beautiful presentation. Very pricey at $138 for just two courses. You have to pay extra for duck fried rice or another dish using your duck. But it was delicious. It was too much for just two of us, so shared it with some other guests. The prawn toast is one of the best we’ve had ~ juicy prawns, hot, crispy toast. The hot and sour Iberico pork soup dumplings were superb. A special touch we really enjoyed were the continuous slide show of old movies showing Anna May Wong. The staff was surprised we knew so much about her. She was the first true Chinese movie star, and not treated well by the movie industry having been passed over for a lead role in t he e Great Earth for a Caucasian actress made to look Asian! The restaurant was beautiful, and the staff very nice. This is definitely a restaurant to go with others to enjoy the wide array of delicious and well prepared foods.
