We really loved this place - the ambience and food were exceptional. We’ll definitely recommend to others. We had a fish curry, vegetarian meal, and a lamb Rogan Josh. All were delicious. Note that corkage is $5 pp. BYO wine.

The food was excellent .all be it the service a bit slow. The only negative was the live entertainment being too loud .we had difficulty having any conversation we could not hear ourselves talk , requested to be moved to a table further away from the entertainers but this was not possible. Requested that the volume be turned down !! That didn’t help . The singing duo were excellent but we didn’t go to the restaurant to be entertained - we went for me and conversation . Will be more careful next time to ensure there is no entertainment.

Good portion sizes! Well presented. Nice ambiance. Great flavour. I will return. Service could have been a little more attentive, with one lady (the owner?) not moving from behind the back counter.

We had a great experience at Mumtaz Indian Restaurant in Surrey Hills, Victoria. The food was absolutely delicious and everyone in our group enjoyed it very much. The ambience was warm and inviting, making it a great place to dine. Service was a little slow, but the quality of the food more than made up for it. Definitely visiting again and highly recommended.

Enjoyed our visit to your restaurant. Food was great and so was the service. Always good to see someone with a smile on their face when they take your order.
