We showed up early at 10:30am for our 11am reservation. At 11am we checked back in at the host desk and they said they were still working on it and would call our name. At 1130am only after checking back in at the desk were told our table was ready. We were waiting a few feet away being patient watching others come in after and get seated sooner. There were many tables open in the dining room. Hosts and servers seemed overwhelmed but trying under the circumstances. Some silverware had dried food on it. Food was average at best. We’ve been to mystic numerous times including Mother’s Day brunch and experience was much better than today. My guess is management/staffing issues.

We visited Mystic Cafe on our anniversary weekend getaway after reading good reviews and finding our other top choices were closed for 4th of July weekend. We were disappointed. The ambiance is fantastic - we loved it. But it is very fast food and not meant for lingering over dinner. Our reservation was for 6:30 and we were out the door by 7:00. I ordered the chicken tortellono and it was buried in a thick, cheesy cream sauce - I literally picked the chicken and tortelloni pieces out of it and left the rest. My husband order the chicken parmesan and it came out as a huge deep fried piece of chicken atop red sauce & noodles which were not good. Service was good and ambience a WIN but the food was not good.

Prices are different online than at the restaurant. Second time there and still not impressed. Won’t go back. Service was amazing.

Had late reservation. Was greeted warmly and seated promptly. No one else in restaurant. Very cool ambiance. Got burgers that were excellent. Only negative that kept perfect score was the fries were obviously leftovers. Cold. Did not complain as it was late. Nevertheless would recommend

We are an older couple and so we were thankful we receded it in the back of the restaurant due to the singer being being there. It added enough on that it was not annoying to us. The food was very, very good and the waitress did her job. We would come back again.
