   Ouises is always spot on! I now I the experience will always be amazing, great food, service and ambiance. Ouises is my go-to restaurant in Houston for birthdays, anniversaries or for a fun brunch or dinner.

   The seafood crepes were delicious as expected. I was impressed that for my Texan friend who was visiting from Philadelphia was served the chicken fried steak he so wanted. Ouisies was so accommodating because they usually don’t serve chicken fried steak at Sunday Brunch. It was delicious.

   Bourbon Dinner Event - Highly recommend if you are a bourbon drinker. Second one that we have attended here. Food pairings were excellent.

    Lovely old southern charm. Nice sitting on patio Waiters are always friendly, knowledgeable about menus. Food delicious. Always enjoy one I cocktail. Served beautifully. Also delicious. Love this restaurant. Never disappoints

    It was lovely. Great brunch choices, fair pricing, & dining room is elegant. The piano player added the additional touch that was needed. Overall, it was a perfect place to enjoy a special brunch.

    The starters were excellent, they really had us ready for the entrées. Unfortunately they entrees were bland and uninspired. Especially the Shrimp and Grits which had mushrooms that looked like they had come from a can and the shrimp looked like it was left over from last night’s shrimp cocktail appetizers. Tasteless and rubbery. Our waiter, Deny, was a delight however the support staff seemed less than happy to be there. We went for a fun girls brunch and were overall disappointed by the experience.

    As always, what a treat! I had pecan crusted trout which was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Our appetizer was the crab stack which we split. Delicious and light. The service from all waitstaff was perfect. Great evening.

    Had not been to Ousies in years and was very pleased with the whole experience. The food, all around, was delicious, not too rushed, and well complimented with service. We were seated next to a large party and they were a little loud before and after their meal. Was also a little disappointed in the salad serving - plenty of add in’s but not much lettuce. On the whole, a very pleasant evening. Thank you!

    My girlfriend and I arrived on time for our dinner reservation and were seated within 5 minutes of being there. The overall decor was nice and layout was very homey. The noise was a bit loud due to large size dining area open concept. The food was delicious, service was impeccable. Overall a a great dining experience.

    Service was slow, the food was average at best, my food was cold when it arrived, and they tax you $5 for parking. Overall, a little disappointing.

    Loved everything, but i would be great to see more gluten free options. While it was mentioned on the menu, the waitress then said there were just a few options. Gluten free muffins and desserts would go along way in providing an inclusive experience.

    Oh my goodness! I was bummed about happenings in prior days, but Ouisie’s broke that streak. The ambience was amazing as was the service. Eric was very attentive, professional and hospitable and always communicated with a smile. My Parmesan crusted rainbow trout and mashed potatoes and side Stilton salad were also divine. Seasoned perfectly and every single bite was delectable. I enjoyed each bite. The lemon ice box was also delicious. Slightly sweeter than I like, but delicious nonetheless. I will definitely be back soon!

    We went on a Friday night when they had the entire main dining room and bar committed to a private event. Thus, the service was sub par. It was definitely not up to our expectations. We were excited to bring friends who had never been before, but were we were a bit embarrassed. My wife had to hunt down a fork to eat her main dish after the server took it away with her salad plate and never replenished. The fish was cooked appropriately but the skin was very soggy. Veggies under fish were the same as veggies under the calamari app. Again, if the kitchen is overwhelmed by a large party don’t take dinner reservations that night. Service and food definitely suffered. Poor judgment by Mgt.

    I had dinner with my new boss and chose Ouisie’s because it is always consistently outstanding, the epitome of a neighborhood gem. All aspects of our dining experience was excellent. I had the blackened salmon and he had the sea scallops, the house Chardonnay was a great compliment to our meal and the noise level was low enough to hold a great conversation without having to raise your voice. I would recommend Ouisie’s to anyone for any occasion.

    So loud, difficult to hear friends at own table. Pianist music weird, Disney, Harry Potter followed by Neil Diamond. Food was underwhelming, 3 of us had the special and there was nothing real apraxia’s about it. Espresso Martini had to be sent back, tasted like the shot had gone off. Nothing stood out that is screaming for us to return, overall very average

    We intentionally made early 5:15pm dinner reservations as we had plans in evening. However, food tasted as though it had been sitting out from lunch, not fresh and not hot. Disappointing. First time to order oysters Rockefeller and they were worst ever had in my long life. Oysters were room temp and spinach was not hot but room temp as well. They were so bad I think we should be given a gift card or credit to our credit card. Our son and I ordered chicken fried steaks and mashed potatoes, greens and black eyed peas were room temp at best. Unsure if kitchen was preparing for evening guests and replenishing and preparing “fresh” batch of veggies and we had lunch or evening before batch. Will never make reservation at this early hour again.
