All very good under trying circumstances. My guest was taken ill and the staff were very understanding and helpful. Will certainly be returning soon
Four of us met up for dinner at Papermakers Arms. On entry made to feel most welcome. Our table was booked for 7:30 and already almost all other tables were full. We had drinks and menus were provided so we could choose whilst having our drinks. We were not hurried to the table, and felt very relaxed. Each of us commented how great the food was and what a lovely place the Papermakers is. The waiting staff were great and looked after us well. We will certainly be returning.
Friendly attentive staff, excellent ambience, music just at right level and the food was delicious.
would definitively recommend and will be visiting again
Good meal and excellent service
Table booked online for busy Friday lunch. Friendly welcome and quick service Food excellent 3 courses menu very good value. Will return.
Interesting menu and the starters are enough for a light lunch accompanied by a very well kept local beer
We had a great meal and lovely wine all extremely good value
This was our first time here and certainly won’t be our last. We had a lovely meal the service was great and the food delicious. Very friendly staff and such a wonderful place.
Yet another fabulous meal! Love this place.
Fantastic Beef Wellington and great service as always.
Our first visit to the Papermakers to meet friends for lunch was most enjoyable
Being a tuesday in January the pub was quiet and a bit chilly but the service was very friendly and professional. The menu has some interesting alternatives and even some we had never heard of, so a very pleasant journey of gastronomic discovery. The rabbit spring rolls and Malva pudding were definitely yummy! Would definitely repeat our trip to this venue but maybe leave it until it is a bit warmer!
Our first visit to The Papermakers Arms was very enjoyable. We visited on Burns Night so it was somewhat busy, but service was great regardless. Good choice on the menu - rabbit spring rolls delicious as was the fish pie. Chapel Down dry white was a wonderful accompaniment. Service was super-friendly and efficient. A huge thanks to Rachel for making us feel so welcome. we'll be back.
Great place to meet friends for a Saturday lunch
Great food and service so relaxed
We will be coming back
Always lovely! Food is fab, Rachel is so welcoming. It’s a must go. The rabbit spring rolls were wonderful
Pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. Good range of menu choices, all well cooked and presented. Flavour of the chicken stock overwhelmed the scallops but otherwise the food was all good.
Great Sunday roast with friendly service. We will be back!
Sunday Roast was really very good. I had the mixed roast - all meat was really tender. Rest of the group had individual roasts. Meat was all good and tasty, roastie spuds were great (not typical reheated which I hate). Huge tasty YP’s. Vegetables were all good too.
Had chocolate brownie for dessert - again very good - just the right gooeyness.
All this for a reasonable price.
Excellent food and service. Highly recommended. Would definitely go back.
A great Sunday roast with friends and the kids. Very nice place, with very polite and friendly staff. Recommend it and will go back. Thank you
We shared the beef wellington, which turned out to be one of the best dinners we have ever eaten! The starter and dessert were also delicious. It is a lovely pub with wonderful service. Will definitely be returning!
Nice Sunday lunch with friendly staff and a cosy pub. Recommended.
Fantastic little gastro pub in a beautiful Kent country village. Great food and excellent hosts, I would recommend it to everyone
Really enjoyed lunch service was good and food was good value wine was excellent shame I was driving. Definitely will return.
We had a lovely meal at the papermakers arms, compliments to the whole team.
My wife and I have eaten there a number of times but last Saturday the food was exceptional. I picked a special on the menu, Saddle of lamb. It was cooked perfectly and melted in the mouth. We shall be returning.
The staff at this pub were super friendly. So nice and welcoming. Food was delicious and we really enjoyed our evening. I would definitely recommended this place to anyone visiting the area.
Fabulous food and great service- as always.
A lovely local surprise. Will definitely be returning.
Great food and atmosphere
Lovely food and staff. Would definitely cone again
We enjoyed a roast beef & Yorkshire lunch last Sunday in very pleasant surroundings, the food was delicious, the meat tasty and tender and served well. We hope to return.
Lovely ambience and I had asked to sit by a fire if poss in our booking and we were. Busy bar so it took a few minutes to be seated. Waitress and manager (I think it was) both friendly and helpful (the manager offered my sister a replacement as fish and chips were sold out). Bit disappointed fish and chips was sold out as two of us wanted that but we were there at 1.30 not early. My mums Sea Bass she loved and they were happy to change to Chips from new pots but need more Samphire. My Liver was plentiful , a little over cooked in parts so not quite as finessed as I would have liked and needed a sauce to offset the large and well cooked potatoe and ham croquette . Kale as a vedge is not my favourite and my feedback would be to add more vedge choice. Our table water we had to re-ask for and it was hard getting waited on speedily as so busy - we didnt mind as we were happy chatting and it is not somewhere people are dashing in and out to eat at. I would go back as I loved the ambience and I did also see other plates which I would like to try like the scallops starter.
First time at the Papermakers arms, food , service, was excellent, and attentive. Have booked again already
Great pub doing great food. Would recommend. Good service and friendly staff.
Great food and great service. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
The food was lovely, the service was very good and the prices reasonable. Well worth a visit.
All is very good, but the wine list is a bit limited in not having any reasonably priced white burgundy nor Rioja.
Very good and will definitely eat there again soon.
This is an excellent place for tasty food sourced locally, and cooked well. This was out first time at lunch time as we have always been their before in the evening each be equally good. We were surprise how busy it was on a Tuesday lunch time and recommend to book.
The lunch set menu was good and pleased to say that the affogato is on the set menu even though it was not included on the website set menu. The staff are always welcoming and friendly.
Excellent quality of food well worth a visit lunchtime or evening.
