                                                                                      Absolutely amazing. Everything. I went here for my 30th bday breakfast and after my entire weekend in San Diego, this was the best meal I had. The food was FRESH, large portions (fruit plate is a real fresh fruit of plate, not a sad bowl), and delicious. Mimosas were also super tasty. They even gave me a birthday churro pancake. Not only did they have something for everyone (real vegan options too), but the service was amazing. I definitely had some subpar service experiences in SD, which was a bummer, but every single employee here was super nice and accommodating. They happily took my reservation request and allowed my dogs outside with us. I have already told a lot of people about this spot and will most definitely be back. The thoughtfulness and attitude, along with simply amazing food, is very appreciated.

My only complaint is the noise level inside main room-hard ceiling, hard floors -and music can make conversation difficult. When the weather is nice, the outside celing is ideal

                                                                                      The place is nice it has a good ambiance. We ordered a muffin to share before eating and it was very good. We also ordered the green chilaquiles and the sauce was very bitter almost to a point of not being able to eat them. It was disappointing. We also ordered the polenta patties with pork and it was ok a little too salty for my taste and I can handle salty food. Overall our services was good and it was a nice place to talk and have a nice time but the times we ordered were not good at all. I was hoping the food would be better. I guess it was just a bad day for the person that made the food on that day. Overall we had a good time but the food left a lot to desire.

                                                                                      We had a lovely evening pre-theatre meal at PE and that was in large part due to our very good server who has been there for over 6 years and was able to share some of the restaurant history with us. The food was very good and, as always, more than ample quantity. In fact, my rating of value should have been higher due to the fact that I will get a second meal from my entre. Thanks for a good experience at PE. NK

                                                                                      The food was on point as usual! We took my father in law there and it was his first time and he loved it to. He had the 2 eggs and bacon. I had the sturdy always delicious PH Benedict. I would say tho that the potatoes were not as creamy and tasty but it happens. My husband had the cowboy bfast as he wanted steak and eggs. Oh and the pineapple jam!!!! I wanted to jar that up and take it home! Highly recommend!! The only downside is the couple at the table next to us was practically yelling when talking to each other which was rude and distracting. The noise level was fairly high but to be fair it was a cold rainy day so no outside seating and given that the restaurant is a converted older house sound echoes and carries in there.
