Founded in 1989 by Jeremy Mogford, Parsonage Grill is a Cotswold-esque bolthole located within the 5 star 17th century Old Parsonage Hotel in central Oxford on Banbury Road.

Famous for its intimate, bohemian, clubby atmosphere, the Parsonage Grill and its private dining space, the ‘Pike Room’, displays a carefully curated collection of eclectic oil paintings, original stone fireplaces, leaded light windows and a Bloomsbury club ambience throughout. Outside, inspired by the legendary Jardin Majorelle, created by Yves Saint Laurent in Marrakech, a beautiful walled terrace sits dappled in the sun. This newly revitalised space seamlessly blends traditional British elegance with the vibrant energy of North Africa.

The Parsonage Grill team take pride in creating classic British dishes with a modern, light touch, and are open every day of the year to enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner and our famous afternoon teas, in the company of Oxford’s academic and literary luminaries...

    The place is absolutely cozy, beautiful and confortable. The Hungarian waitress was absolutely adorable with us. The price is a little bit expensive.

    Lovely atmosphere, good food and service. We really enjoyed our meal and the surprise cake and candle for my daughter's birthday. Lovely to have a round table and we love the pictures - just slightly spoilt by the the amount of to and fro traffic past our table with people going in and out to the hotel area including with suitcases.

    Dinner for my partners birthday…a pre-drink at the bar, well served and attended. Three courses at the table, service good though we were aware only two staff running the restaurant. We ordered an extra glass of Nero D’Avola just after starting the main course but these didn’t arrive until we had finished the dish. Aside from that, food was of great quality and presentation. The Sherry trifle amazing!

    We celebrated my husband’s and son’s birthdays here last night and had a lovely evening. The restaurant is so beautiful and cosy, lovely atmosphere with beautiful artwork on the walls and a library room type of feel. Friendly service and the food was all delicious. Highly recommend and we will definitely book again.
