Since opening in late 2014, Pen & Quill has received numerous awards, excellent reviews and has become one of Baltimore's top restaurants. P&Q restaurant in the Station North Arts District is named after the cocktail lounge within the old Chesapeake Restaurant, which flourished on the corner of Charles and Lanvale streets during the 1950s and the 1960s. The restaurant features an extensive bar with unique cocktails, eclectic dining area showcasing local artists and an exciting menu.

We had exceptional service at Pen & Quill for our table of 6 on a busy Saturday night. The oysters from the raw bar were delicious. We appreciate a menu that allows omnivores and vegetarians to find many options for dinner. Just a little nit-picking, but felt some of the dishes could have used more salt or overall seasoning.

I took my wife there for our anniversary and they were more than accommodating. I called ahead to ask for a special set up. We had a table set away from the rest of the restaurant and a bottle of champagne. The food was to die for and the ambiance was perfect for the occasion. We will definitely be coming back for future outings. Thank you again for making the night special Pen&Quill

I love the fresh oysters on the half shell. They are consistently fresh and tasty especially when combined with a green salad and a Bullet Rye Martini. I must say though that the noise level is unacceptable. When I can't hear the person sitting next to me and have to shout for her to hear me - it creates a very uncomfortable dining experience. After all, dining out is not just about the food, but about sharing a meal with friends. For this reason, and this reason only, I am hesitant to return or to recommend Pen & Quill. Thanks

Food was absolutely outstanding. Service was slower but not egregiously so. Highly recommend the steak frite and grilled romaine.

very limited menu. Have been there several times prior to seeing a movie at the Charles, and I am always disappointed. My companions had the burger which they said was good so perhaps stick with that if you order dinner.
