From riverside spots in Bath to a converted Victorian building in Oxford, PizzaExpress has spent more than six decades weaving itself into the fabric of British dining. Founded in 1965 by Peter Boizot, who brought authentic Italian pizza-making to London at a time when the concept was virtually unheard of, the brand transformed the way the UK eats out. Today, PizzaExpress is one of the best affordable restaurants in the UK, with locations in city centres, market towns, waterfront developments, and shopping destinations from Edinburgh to Cardiff and everywhere in between. The menu — built around hand-stretched dough, classic Italian recipes, and crowd-favourite dishes loved by every generation — makes it one of the best family restaurants in the UK, equally suited to a quick weekday lunch or a long weekend dinner.
