Join us in the dining room for a French inspired three course tasting menu experience for a base price of $71. Reservations required and as we are a very small restaurant we do have a 24 hour cancellation policy.

The owner of Près Des Prés, Andrew Pearson, dreamed of opening a restaurant in Gordonsville because of his love for the town and its people. This is a family operated establishment so you will find Andrew’s wife Lauren and daughters serving guests some evenings. Our restaurant filled a hole in the town for a more high end and French dining experience.

Chef Abigail Duck runs our one (wo)man kitchen. She aims our menu to feature seasonal, interesting, French inspired dishes.

Prés is located in the heart of Virginia wine country, located very near Charlottesville, UVA, Orange, Keswick , and Woodberry Forest.

I don’t think I’ve ever encountered the level of personalized customer service that I saw on display here. Left me truly in awe and wanting to tell others about my experience!

It was a very pleasant experience. We had been here prior when it was Restaurant Pomme. We had a very nice table next to the fireplace. As we had a 5:30, the dining room was empty and very quiet which was great for my elderly in-laws from a hearing perspective. The background music was not at all disturbing. By the time we left (closer to 7) it was pretty full and the noise was considerably louder simply due to the number of people enjoying their meals. Food was very good and I say that not being the biggest fan of French food. Each course was extremely unique and the ingredients complimented each other very well. Parking is very easy during the evening (we parked right out front) in Gordonsville.

We had our first anniversary dinner there while in town visiting family. Great choice for us. Very quaint and had an old converted mansion feel to it. Terrific food and our server was the owner who was absolutely fantastic!! Very much looking forward to returning when we revisit the area. Just 10 mins from Shenandoah Crossing. They have wine pairing for each course or by the glass/bottle. Very nice wine selection. Call to verify menu as we had Sept menu in Oct.

My wife and I were there to celebrate our 57th wedding anniversary. Andrew was gracious host. We both thought the food was a step above what is found in most local restaurants.

My partner and I returned to Pres Des Pres because we'd had a memorable experience there a few years ago, and were not disappointed. Our meals and wine were exceptional. Our server, who seemed to have many other roles, was pleasant, attentive, and engaging. The ambience was spacious and calm, but noticeably quiet. Given its remarkable quality, it seemed odd that there was only one other table occupied on a Friday evening. This place would be overflowing if it were in DC or NY...but part of its charm is that it is NOT in any of those crowded places.

Près Des Prés is a gem! My husband and I absolutely love it. Truly authentic European food! Just like Gordonsville, it is absolutely charming.

Proprietor Andrew took excellent care of us, and the food and cocktails were delicious! Unlike mini restaurants these days, we could actually hear one another. It was altogether a lovely evening and we will be back each time we’re in the area.
