    Food was excellent and.more importantly the service was superb. Our waiter, Marc, knew the menu very well and offered help with some of the selections. The chef also came.out and greeted us before we left and thanked us for coming.. We'll be going back for sure.

    Spectacular evening! What a treat to enjoy exceptional French/Continental food from a world class chef right here in Houston. We loved the ambiance, appreciative that the restaurant wasn't too noisy (as way too many are these days)! Service was on point! Wonderful seafood (bouillabaisse and the grilled mahi-mahi) as well as perfect steaks! Extra love for the escargots which were cooked to perfection! My husband and I took my brother and sister-in-law there for a special celebration and could not have been more delighted! We are already planning a return visit to PS21! Highest regards!

    Highly recommend! Each course was better than the next…. The owners take such pride in creating an authentic French experience. Have the cheese selections before the delightful desert. The raspberry meringue was sublime😃

    Such a fabulous surprise inside this unassuming little building on Richmond. Inside I felt as though I was immediately transported to a Parisian restaurant. Elegant, comfortable, cool, chic ambience. The food was delicious - perfect French fare, but elevated too. Never had such light and airy souffles anywhere. Cocktails and wine on point. Service was so gracious and attentive. A new favorite for sure!

    It was our first try but it won't be the last. We were able to hear one another during dinner which is a plus. The Petatou was delicious as was the crispy salmon and crepe (HRW menu). Other enjoyed theirs as well, probably the weakest dish was the streak frites.

    The food was very good. Although heavy on the bread. The wine was not good. This 4$ restaurant could benefit from a sommelier. I saw some average wines very marked up. I had a cocktail after the wine we chose was not good. The cocktail was excellent. The service was good but not excellent which is what I would expect from an expensive French restaurant.

    Excellent HRW value and experience, with delicious choices and very well executed cuisine! Outstanding service from Marc. Glad to see Chef Philippe aka the French Cowboy so solidly and elegantly back in the saddle. Vaut le voyage!

    We dined here last month and had a good experience with their regular menu. So we suggested to friends to try PS 21 during HRW. Subpar! Onion soup was lukewarm that the Gruyère didn’t even melt and was a hard knob. The beef dish that looked like a shepherd’s pie was cold and had to be sent back. Tried the salmon instead but had so much olive oil drizzled all over - that’s all I could taste. And the meringue was just an overly sweet mush. And on top of that the waiter did not seem to be in a service-minded mood. What an embarrassment to my friends.

    The service was great but the steak tartar has way to much sauce. All I could taste was vinaigrette could have 1/3 less sauce. Steak frites was good. Overall value was not there.

    Had HRW menu. Food and service were excellent. Very French ambiance. Unfortunately we were seated next eight young women whose loud screeching voices were very unpleasant. I understand there was nothing that good be done about that. Only other comment is wine markup seemed exhorbiant. However we will be back!

    I believe for a new restaurant they really tried to make our experience a good one. The head chef/owner even asked us how our meal was. Our server was training so he had some hiccups but I can tell there is a lot of passion there for everyone. Once they get the slight hiccups out I believe it will be a very popular place. Also of course the food was good! Very inventive with the largest charcuterie boar I have seen in a while!

    Some Hits, but Mainly Misses The bread, butter, french fries, and seafood bouillabaisse were delicious. The salmon with a side of ratatouille was bland. The crab salad was bland mush upon mush upon mush. The celeriac rémoulade was tasty, but they could have cut back on the mayonnaise, and the plating for these two dishes left a lot to be desired. I get the feeling they did a DIY decor with items from Hobby Lobby. Overall, too expensive for what you get. PS: The tiny parking area at the front is mostly for valet; so you are on your own for self parking off Richmond.

    Everything was incredible. When you arrive at the table, they start out with homemade bread and butter. From there whatever you choose from the menu will be a culinary delight! Do not miss the petatou or the chocolate croissant bread pudding. This is a place I will be returning many times!

    We had a fantastic dinner. Service was impeccable - Mark took great care of us. This was my third time to go to PS 21 and my third time to have the childhood chicken wings. I honestly could just eat those for dinner. The steak tartare is amazing. I’m not a foie gras guy, but the tartare has vinaigrette that makes it more acidic and the foie combines with it perfectly. Classic French onion soup as good as you will have anywhere. Also it is just kind of different for the Houston scene. I’ll be back.

    We ate here very shortly after it had opened and it took an hour for our first course to arrive. We did not return until just recently when a friend recommended it. Everything was better. The service was very attentive and the place was bustling. The starting crab dish was very good and the children's boneless chicken wings with bone marrow could easily have served as a main course. There was a generous amount of bone marrow and nicely grilled thin slices of baguette to go with it. I think the chicken wings could have used a bit more garlic in the melted butter, however. Perhaps the chef was playing it safe. The crispy salmon was excellent but the mahi mahi, served on a bed of vegetables and cooked perfectly, could have used more salt. The grilled lemon served with it was a nice touch. One of my main complaints with restaurants now days is the increasing cost of valet parking and the fact that the parkers make sure the monopolize all the free parking in the area. It was nice at PS21 that the sign at the valet station said Valet was complimentary. I tipped of course but I wish all restaurants would follow the example of PS21.

    I had the burrata and cherry tomato starter, the duck Wellington, and the Grand Marnier Soufflé. This was not a bad meal. However, given the price and the high culinary expectation, it was disappointing, as the whole meal was average. Nothing bad enough to complain about, but nothing good enough to get excited about. The burrata was also under-seasoned, and I expected the dish to be more flavorful. The duck was under-seasoned and the portion seemed to be less than even a single duck breast, which it certainly should have been. The duck was accompanied by fingerling potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. The excellent mushrooms were the single best part of the entire meal. With tip (and without any alcohol), it was over $100 for one person. Simply not worth it.

    From the moment we arrived till we left, everything was great. The hostess offered us a choice of tables, nice touch, our waitress was great. Professional but friendly. Very knowledgeable of the offerings. My husband and I ordered the same items for lunch. First we each had a nice glass of red wine, large bubble glass with a generous pour. Our meal started with the Goat Cheese Tart, followed by the Steak Frites. The frites tasted like authentic frites from France. Great! Extra for dessert we split a Floating Island. They made the Floating Island when we ordered it. Fresh and delicious. Yes, we will return!

    Went for the first time for a HRW lunch, Fresh food beautifully presented. We even splurged on a Grand Marnier souffle. The full menu looked so inviting that I am looking forward to going back.

    PS21 is absolutely wonderful. Chef Philippe and his team have created a wonderful experience. The food is delicious, the atmosphere cozy and inviting, and the service thoughtfully attentive. Many of us have waited a long time for Chef to cook for us in a restaurant and PS21 was absolutely worth the wait. Merci Chef.

    Raw mussels in seafood bouillabaisse, and one serving of burnt raclette served in a pasta strainer which caused the cheese to be rock hard by the second bite. This dinner ruined everyone’s appetite, and would not recommend.

    The main body of the restaurant is really beautiful with the trees outside being seen from inside and an impressive bar. However, we were shown our table in a small annex which completely lacked character or ambience. It was hot and we had to tell them to turn up the air conditioning. I had the restaurant week menu at $55 and my husband had the lobster bisque and the filet mignon. Although some food items were good, some were not. The ratatouille and the Mac and cheese sides were bland. The bill was over $300 and for this I expected the food to be exceptional. Houston has so many high standards restaurants that I doubt I will be returning.

    Wonderful fun evening! It was restaurant week, and still we didn't feel rushed. Thank goodness Philip and Sebastian decided to go ahead with this project! 2 of our group had less than satisfactory desserts. We told this to the manager. And do you know that after we'd paid the bill, Philippe sent over a delicious meringue with white chocolate mousse as an apology! Merco beucoup is right!

    Our dinners at PS21 have been amazing every time we have come. This was our 4th time since the restaurant opened. Chef Philippe is a magician who creates French food that is second to none. Make sure to try the brand new raspberry meringue dessert—it is delicious!
