The food and service were very good. I was there with business colleagues for dinner and was surprised to find the noise level so high you could not hear anyone talking at the table. It was uncomfortable shouting at each other so we ate quickly and left so that we could actually converse comfortably.

I am a regular customer and typically have the same lunch entree, 1/2 MaryJane with steak. It is typically very good. This time the cut of meat was extremely tough and difficult to eat. Highly irregular for The Rebel. Had the popcorn,……SOOOOO good! My lunch date had never had it and was throughly impressed. The service was fantastic! I believe the steak issue was a one off.

Drink menu unique and drinks were tasty. Booked already to go back to try other menu (and drink!) items. Definitely recommend!!

The food was tasty and the environment was cool, but the service was quite poor. A group of 5 of us came for brunch and the restaurant was fairly full, but not super busy. The waitress only checked on us maybe 3 times during dining. We came in at noon and didn’t have our order taken until maybe 30-45 minutes in, then waited another 30-45 to receive our food. Other tables who were seated after us came and went before we even ate. If service is slow, I would expect to have the server check on us or notice the delay and simply acknowledge it. A bit disappointing. Also, being charged $1.50 for a small side of hot sauce seems silly, especially after poor service. But again, the food was tasty, so that was the only pro.

Very enjoyable Valentines Day evening at Rebel. The food was amazing and the price was very reasonable. We enjoyed the Price Fix dinner menu. Our server was excellent as always, we didn't feel rushed or ignored, everything was timed perfectly. We will be back!

The food & service was great. We loved the Brussels sprout appetizer to share. It was great. Really loved the open faced mushrooms on toast and the Brie grilled cheese sandwich with ham in it WOW! Super delicious. The house salad was excellent that came as a side. The French fries would have been perfect but were a little over salted. Overall was a great place, service & food.

Initially seated at table too small and in middle of traffic path of restaurant. Eventually moved when a table left but seemed a bit over crowded. Otherwise wonderful food. A bit too loud but it’s a small space with lots of people.

My group had a blast in the private room. Once the door is closed the noise level from the main dining area was muffled! We loved it! We also had a volume control for the music to turn it up or down! The service was wonderful and the food delicious. Our server was attentive and took the time to help one of friends who was gluten free. She examined her choices and brought a meal to her that she loved! We would totally come back and have another gathering here!

Busy and loud! Which means good business! Couldn’t really hear our friends over the noise. Poor waitress didn’t even know we were there so sat for about 15-20 before we waved her over to our table! She was great though and felt bad that she didn’t realize we were there! Husband thought food was mediocre. I was too busy trying to talk loud and hear our friends that I didn’t focus on the eating part! Oh well. Good for them for being a local neighbour bar/restaurant and being so busy! We’ll just aim for a night other than a Friday! ☺️

We went into Rebel with a baby and a person with an allergy to Gluten. They were very accommodating, with a high chair and good communication on Gluten free food. All the food was good, the staff were good, and they got us in and out in a timely fashion because of us having an infant with us. We also used the Century Hospitality gift certs from the Oilers 50/50, and they were very good about these as well. Thank you, & all the best in the New Year.

Had a great time catching up with some girl friends. We stayed there for quite a long time but our server kept on checking in with us and never showed any impatience. The food was pretty good but it was really the service that stood out to me.

What a wonderful restaurant. Friendly staff and excellent food. The restaurant is a bit small, so be prepared for close quarters but don’t let your anxiety stop you. This restaurant is well worth it.
