   This is a superb Japanese restaurant with a real Japanese vibe and an intriguing selection of dishes. Our server was very knowledgable and helpful and recommended the appropriate tea and saki to complement our selection of dishes. We selected two starters (the vegetable tempura were as good as any we have tasted in Japan) and two of the Chef's specialty mains. All were delicious as were the desserts. Next time (which will be very soon) we will try their delicious looking bento boxes. They also offer a very good value lunch menu.

   Excellent place for a delicious Japanese meal. Pre-theatr,e we only had a short time to eat but the restaurant ensured that we were served quickly and efficiently. The food, a Bento box was excellent, tasty and elegant. A great place to eat, great friendly staff.

   I really loved the desert and I would go back just for it the taste and presentation was unlike anything I have had before. I felt I didn’t get the best value for money on my dishes but that may have been my mistake in what I ordered. The kimchi rice with fried egg came luke warm which I wasn’t too pleased about as it was my only hot dish. The waiter was really nice very knowledgable, all in all a good experience but I didn’t feel as if I got value for money. If I do coke back it would be for a set menu like afternoon tea that is reasonably priced

    We return to Robun each year on our anniversary after enjoying it so much when they first opened. On this visit the food was amazing as always, couldn’t fault it. However, the service was lacking and on a few occasions we had to call someone over for more drinks, dessert menus and to clear empty dishes. The ambience was also somewhat ruined by bickering between staff within earshot. My partner ordered a Malt whiskey expecting the standard 50ml measure but was given on 25ml.. not sure why they assumed we didn’t want the standard. Overall we just felt forgotten about. Not the fantastic service we had remembered from our previous visits where the maitre d’ remembered us and had always looked at the notes that it was our anniversary.

    Great food, great but slow service (I think they were probably understaffed the night we went- our server was delightful however), buzzy atmosphere and cool interiors. We loved it.

    It was perfectly nice but very expensive for what we had. We had the tapas style dishes, two drinks and two desserts - £93. I wasn’t a huge fan of the dessert, it was the chocolate torte and it needed more fruit or cream with it. Very stodgy chocolate ganache.

    Lovely valentines set menu, fantastic service by all the staff they were very attentive and did not need to ask for anything really, they were on hand to ask if we needed any more drinks, or if our food was nice. Would definitely go back!

    AMAZING FOOD! We ordered a plater with a few sides for the two of us and it was perfect with enough room to share a dessert. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating to our questions about the food. 10/10 will come back again.

    Had lovely meal, with plenty of gluten-free options clearly marked on the menu. Staff were lovely and help us with our order as it was our first time there, and limited experience of Sushi. Food looked and tasted fantastic. Restaurant has lovely atmosphere and nice decor

    The food was outstanding and absolutely faultless. Everything tasted fantastic and was cooked perfectly. At first glance, yes the price can seem a little high but you are paying for the skill and ability of someone to prepare and cook food In a very skilled and specific way and it was delicious and faultless cooking. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were offered tasters of Sake as we hadn't had it before so the waitress offered to get is some samples. The staff couldn't do enough for you and their knowledge of all the individual dishes was very good. Would definitely recommend

    The restaurant was noticeably chilly, far too many waiting staff who were loudly chatting by the tables. Manager was also having obvious arguments with various members of staff on the restaurant floor. Food was of average quality. The grilled prawns were lukewarm and tasted fishy and many dishes were unnecessarily spicy which detracted from the other flavours. The staff also forgot out order of Miso soup and had to be reminded to bring it. For these reasons the food was definitely over priced. Overall, Wagamammas or Yo Sushi offer a better standard of Japanese food for a better price.

    We went here for the first time on Friday evening. We went for the £80 Robun tasting menu as suggested by our outstanding waiter Nathaniel. Everything was amazing but we strongly recommend the Wagyu Steak, the Black Cod, the Wagyu Carpaccio and as dessert the Chocolate Truffle. Overall it has been an amazing experience thanks to the high quality food and to our knowledgeable and friendly waiter Nathaniel. Thank you again and see you soon!

    lovely looking restaurant. Food beautifully presented, but the rice and 2 other dishes were served cold. Our male waiter and the young girl waiter were very nice, but would have been much better to have 1 waiter as it appeared disjointed and slow service. The dishes were served randomly but tasted nice. I will return though as best one in Bath.

    We visited for a twentieth birthday, at the new twenty year old’s request. We were seated promptly and drinks orders taken. There was a long delay before drinks arrived and then before food orders were taken. Things seemed to be going south. Then the front of house lady came and apologised, telling us that there were technical difficulties in the kitchen and apologies were made. It was clear that her stern earlier demeanour was due to this issue and after that revelation, service improved and the ambience warmed up. The food was generally good, with very little “stand-out” dishes. Except possibly the gyozas. Unfortunately quite a lot of the menu is Not GF and I can’t comment first hand on those, nor the crispy chicken and other battered items. Nonetheless, the food was “good enough” if not stellar. The kimchee rice needed more kimchee, there was not enough wasabi or ginger with the sushi selection. Drinks were good. Service after the fryer revelation became more relaxed and friendly. I wouldn’t go again but the birthday girl will probably be returning,; if she wins the Lottery. I think I’d not recommend it to a friend because the value wasn’t good. Not because of the quality of service or the food.
