Excellent food, service, atmosphere in every way as always.

Very kind staff. Great service. Waiters are well trained and know about the food they are serving. Food was excellent, did not have to wait long but also not rushed. Dessert was excellent (ice cream sandwiches)!

The ambience outdoors was as good as other outdoor dining sites in DC. All 4 of us thrououghly enjoyed the dinner, would come back again and would recommend to friends . Food portions were very ample, allowing for leftovers to be taken home.

What a complete delight. Was recommended by a friend. I grabbed a late lunch. Sat inside even though it was nice enough to do so. The decor is great.

Food was absolutely amazing. Andres suggested the options and they were great. The boiled tomato for the rice blended in beautifully. Expect to take food home and enjoy it again.

Everything was so deliciousous and the cuts of lamb and the fish of the highest quality. Persian ice cream sandwich not to be missed! Great wine by the glass selection. A real treat all around!!

The Koobideh was tasty but saltier than usual. Barg kabob was not as good as the previous time. The herb plate and bread was removed after the appetizer.

Always love visiting Rumis! I day dream about the sea bass 😍

Food was just wonderful. As someone who was raised eating a lot of Persian food, this place is totally worth going to! Appetizers and drinks are lovely as well, and service was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back soon!

Persian fathers are the most merciless perfectionist critics known to mankind. Hence, when my dad recommended Rumi's I knew it was going to be absolutely INCREDIBLE! The food was spectacular, the service phenomenal, the presentation immaculate, the experience legendary.

I'm not in the restaurant industry but as a veteran business owner I can't express how much I appreciate the owner and staffs fastidious attention to detail and execution. The koobideh, joojeh and barg were all succulent and excellent. The Mirza ghasemi is smoky with just the right amount of garlic and Persian ice cream tastes like heaven. My favorite part the Tahdig (crispy rice) was fresh, light and so perfect.

I've lived in LA and have been to 28 countries, this is the best authentic Persian food and exceptional service you'll find outside of Tehran. Everything from top to bottom was literally magnificent. Some of the self-proclaimed "fine-dining" DC restaurateurs should come dine here and take lessons from a bona fide master.

We had a very, very delicious lunch with very friendly and helpful service. In order to decide on a,wine our server suggested we have a taste of a couple. Our server was extremely helpful in suggesting what to order.

My husband and I came to Rumi’s Kitchen for his birthday and we’re wowed by the friendly and welcoming service. The staff was knowledgeable about every dish on the menu and made sound recommendations for us. The food was exquisite and the meats were tender and juicy. We enjoyed the dessert and the ice creams tasted homemade and delicious. Highly recommend you to try!

The service is excellent & I appreciate the patio heaters! The food is tasty (I’ve had kebabs, cornish hen, eggplant, shrimp). The one negative is the overly high price point which makes it difficult to visit here often (I.e., even splitting an entree with small appetizer was $50!). While the entree portion was a good size, the appetizers tend to small and not worth prices.

The food was amazing and the staff were very helpful abc friendly! There were too many great options to have in one sitting. We will definitely return!

Excellent choice

I am Iranian/Persian and have lived in Washington DC area for the past 30 years. As of December 2020, I can't recall any better Persian cuisine resturant than Rumi Kitchen.
Food is excellent and the service is great. Keep up the good job!! A+
