As the sun dips below the horizon, Salty Iguana Ocean Grill transforms into Salty at the Beach, where Mediterranean inspiration meets Caribbean charm. Centered around our Aztec wood grill, every dish is

Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst , mooie plek op het strand, de halve kip viel tegen waren gesneden stukjes en zeker geen halve kip, de wortels waren zwart , en de bestelde expresse is niet gekomen , veel punten voor verbetering

Food was not what was described. Bland but also very sparse. Not nearly being a good representation of local or even Americanized food. Tuna steak rare could barely be cut with a knife. Should be able to cut that with a fork. Tacos were very sparse and served with cold fries. Very disappointing.

If you’re celebrating a special occasion or looking for a romantic evening I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was amazing and so was the service. Our waiter was attentive and made some great suggestions which was much appreciated. It was my birthday dinner and I was serenaded by the team and gifted a card and cake which was such a pleasant surprise. Perfect way to end my stay in Curacao and so happy I went with this restaurant. Thank you to the team at Salty for making my evening so lovely.

The service was exceptional, the ambience was great and the food was amazing. The staff made my husband’s birthday very special. The view of sunset was so beautiful, and it was overlooking the beach. Special thanks to all the servers, especially Rolly, Josh and Jaymy, @ Salty Iguana Ocean Grill, Curacao Marriott Resort.

Our server was Maurice and he was exceptional even though they were under staffed. Eating on the beach with the sand under our feet was a great experience

We typically eat at Salty Iguana during the day while staying at the Curacao Marriott, when it offers the usually pool grill food. This was our first time to eat dinner there, and we were not disappointed. The menu is stepped up and Mediterranean focused. The two of us had bruschetta with burrata, the veggie bowl, sweet potato wedges, broccolini and the Cornish hen, and shared Dutch apple pie. All the food was tasty, no complaints. One comment: the sauce that comes with the sweet potato wedges is very good, but is spicy hot (by American standards). Our server was Kerigma, who was very professional and knowledgeable about the menu. She was assisted by Maurice. Shana was the hostess and very sweet, while being very new. All in all, a very pleasant experience, and we will return soon.

Our dinner on the beach did not disappoint. Tish’s service was amazing and the manager came by to check on everything. Having reservations 30-45 minutes before sunset is ideal!! You can enjoy your drink while taking in the sunset. The ambience is perfect!!! Even a pretty swing to take photos if you like. We ate there many times during our week and enjoyed the saxophone player the one night!! So wonderful how he came by each table!!! The food was great too and had Vegan options!!!

The servers and location are AMAZING! The octopus and white fish they have in their dinner menu was absolutely delicious! The people whom work here are the most amazing people whom make you feel like you’re family!

The ambience was fantastic. You can't do better than dining on the soft white sand under the stars while listening to the breaking waves and a saxophone playing. Service was friendly but disorganized. We had a reservation. Upon our arrival the host found our reservation and asked us to wait in the lounge area for our table to be ready, only for him to come to us 15 minutes later and tell us that our table had been ready all along. Our server seemed really confused when my girlfriend asked him for menu suggestions (although the shrimp and chorizo appetizer he recommended was fantastic). Food was brought to the tables by multiple staff members, and at least twice they tried bringing us food that belonged to people at other tables. It's a small place so it doesn't seem like it should be that difficult to keep track of which table ordered what. Our entrees (red snapper and white fish) were decent but not amazing by any stretch. We ate at the JFK Steakhouse the night before and were thoroughly impressed in every way. By comparison, Salty was a letdown.

Thank you for writing this out, Mike. It helps. You should not have been sent to the lounge for a table that was already ready, and certainly not left there fifteen minutes. Food going to the wrong tables twice in a room our size is not something I can explain away. And when a guest asks for a recommendation, our server should be able to answer with confidence, though I'm glad the shrimp and chorizo landed well. The host stand and the running are both being addressed with the team. Your comparison to JFK is fair, and it's noted. I'd like to show you a better night.
