Not the standard or quality of sushi we were expecting based on reviews. We did not finish our dinner. It was not good.

I was skeptical coming here on someone’s recommendation. And I was right to be, unfortunately. The menu is prepared with a very clean and pure palate in mind, so you are at the right place if that’s what you’re looking for. However, it was not enough to blow my mind or warrant a returning trip. The prices far outweighs the value of the meal for me, and I didn’t feel entirely satisfied afterward. The service was nice and we were well taken care of!

The omakase experience was really great. It was informative, the options were extensive and the tastings were delicious. Everything was fresh, balanced and elevated. I would recommend trying the omakase experience at Satsuki!

Satsuki continues to be a high standard for any other restaurant to match in terms of quality of food, presentation and uniqueness. Strongly suggest a reservation is made for your visit as we saw several people not being able to get a table due to full up. We will continue to go to Satsuki for our Japanese style foods.

I cannot say enough positive things about Maya Satsuki and her amazing restaurant. Not only does she have the best sushi in Calgary, but the sake menu is out of this world. Service is prompt, timely, and informative. The GF options for my wife cover over fifty (50) percent of the menu, making ordering easy. We will be back often to enjoy this fabulous restaurant.

Lovely meal. Sashimi was perfect, risotto was also a hit. Service was slightly disorganized. Will definitely be back.

This was one of the best pieces of hamachi I have ever had, it was so buttery soft, almost melted in my mouth. The service was excellent. It wasn’t too dressy, casual hipster vibe which was so nice after a day of traveling.

One of, and if not, the very best Japanese restaurants in the city. Nothing but the best ingredients imported from Japan, including amazing sake pairings, this gem in the heart Kensington is an experience you will want again & again.
