Sawasdee (sah-wah-DEE) is spoken both as a greeting and a farewell. Sawasdee Thai Elevated brings authentic Thai cuisine to Long Island in a setting that is warm, inviting and stylish.
Our founders began their journey in the heart of Thailand. Owner John Conrad met his wife Walailak in Thailand, where she was born and raised. John lived and worked in Thailand for 5 yrs and adored the experience. He looked for a way to bring an authentic Thai cultural experience back to America.
That’s how Sawasdee was born: as a restaurant that combines authentic Thai cuisine with modern dining. Thai food is all about marrying complexity with harmony, Sawasdee aims to continue that tradition.

Haven’t been here for years but we’re meeting friends that lived nearby. The ambience is nice and it was quiet for a Thursday night. The hit and sour soup is as good. The fried calamari was ok as fried to much. The mango salad was delicious. We then ordered long thick noodles with vegetables and shrimp. There weren’t a whole lot of noodles. We then ordered a chicken dish with vegetables which were ok. The service was great.

It’s rare to find a restaurant where food is reliably great. Highly recommended if you appreciate quality food and a place that consistently gets it right. The owners are incredibly hardworking and truly pour their heart and soul into the restaurant. You can see the pride they take in everything—from the food to the excellent service and the welcoming atmosphere.

Nice designed restaurant that lets in ample light, however, they are severely under-staffed. Two ladies responsible for the entire lunch volume is wholly inadequate leading to long wait times for food. Dishes were nicely designed, however small portions not worth the value. The food also lacked the punch one would expect from Thai cuisine.

Have been here many times before. Usually great This time was disappointing We sat and nobody came over for at least 10 min. There were only 2 tables there at 5:30. We go to order. We ask about the sign outside for specials. Waitress has no idea about them. We ask about menu options. She has no idea of rhe dishes. Chicken satay was dry overcooked. Meals were just ok
