Delicious Italian dishes and attentive service. Also, the propane heaters make the outdoor dining experience so much more comfortable. I’d recommend Sette Osteria to anyone looking for a tasty, laid back Italian dinner.

My fiancé and I were seated at 8pm on Valentine’s Day (we had a reservation) and did not even get recognized until 8:15. I had to flag down my waiter (male) at least 3 times to get another drink and extra napkins. Our bill was well over $100, the food was excellent but needless to say we will never be returning as it was one of the worst experiences we had. We left at 10 that night very upset.

Despite pleasant enough experiences here in the past, We regretted coming here on Valentine’s Day. As far as I know, DC still has 25% capacity limits on inside dining due to Covid-19, which seemed to be wholly disregarded by the restaurant. The restaurant was packed and almost nobody (other than staff) was wearing a mask, even when they weren’t actively eating or drinking. They were very busy, but service was slow and inattentive. We felt very uncomfortable sitting there for an hour, waiting for our food, with a bunch of other masked patrons. Probably won’t be back.

This review is for the dupont location. Make sure that you get the right address as we went to another location first. Covid-19 has effected a number of dining experiences and this establishment is no different. However, I was appalled by the lack of shoveling of ice around their property. We certainly could have been injured. It may be a city issue but they should have clear signage to avoid it at least. The food and the service were good. Although, the regulations have been going for sometime the servers should not assume that everyone is aware. They didn't inform us about the kitchen closing soon or last call for drinks.

Good neighborhood type restaurant. Not too fancy. Food was good. Location s good too.

They seemed very confused about us having a reservation, along with the other couples who came in with us. They eventually found us tables, which were located right near the door. Because of the outdoor dining, the servers kept going in and out and the 28° wind did not create a great atmosphere for dinner. The food was decent, but the service could use some work.

We had a good time, the only complaint I had was the restaurant was very cold and sitting right next to the door didn’t help. The seating area was very open so it would have been hard to find a warmer location. Drinks were very good! Portions are large which was nice however presentation of entrees was fair. Our dessert of berry gelati was beautiful though and tasted awesome. Would go back for another meal maybe more casual for drinks and pizza rather than a nice date just because of the atmosphere.

Great evening out amidst covid--safety precautions were great and appreciated. WONDERFUL eggplant pasta.

The pizza and salads are great there. I had a pepperoni pizza with Caesar salad. I'll definitely return.

The staff did a great job of keeping us comfortable in the outside space on this cold and windy day! We had a delicious and warming meal!

Except for the fact that they ran out of gas tanks and it was pretty cold outside, everything was perfect. Very friendly staff and amazing food. Will definitely go back

Last couple of times at Sette have been mediocre. Lentil soup was served lukewarm
and sour. Bread plate included no crusted bread.

Has been our 'go to' place for many years. Food is always good and generous portions.

Food was funky spoiled I sent it back. Bottomless mimosas were awful I had either food or alcohol poisoning that night

A neighborhood favorite made even more special in this time of Covid-19 by its large heated outdoor seating.

The food is consistently good with favorites such as pasta alla bolognese, chicken milanese and any of the pizzas worth making a trip here specially for. Outdoor seating is ample, essential and a treat these days.

We were able to dine outdoors with tables separated from others. I wasn't even aware off the other people seated outdoors with us. It was the good old Sette, with social distancing.

Neighborhood favorite. Great food and service at a reasonable price.

The veal scallopine was thick, overcooked and o accompanied by a very mediocre sauce.

The spaghetti bolognese was very bland

The grilled calamari was thick, over cooked and tough

The only redeeming course was a mushroom flatbread.

Very happy to have met family at Sette Osteria on Connecticut Ave for appetizers and cocktails. Food and wine were excellent, as was our server.

Great happy hour! The food is great and there's always plenty. The price point is great.

I hope they will be able to provided heated outdoor seating during the cold weather--this is a really nice place.

Birthday meal and happy hour was the best! Two rounds of gnocchi and pumpkin ravioli, the prosciutto pizza, the sausage, everything was AMAZING!

Seated at 655pm for 7pm resy. Server first approached at 715pm and we ordered cheese plate and Montepulciano. Wine was significantly warmer than room temp but gradually cooled in outdoor setting. Both were tasty. Entrees (medium rare filet mignons) arrived before soup / salad. Of course, when we finished soup/salad, we received same steaks that sat beneath heat lamp and were a solid medium well by time of first bite. Server apologetically offered comp desserts which I readily accepted in the hopes of saving the “just meh” experience.

The food was very good. The atmosphere is a little chaotic, but fun and the wait staff all help each other out. They are making the best of the outdoor dining situation with table spacing and heaters. Good wine selection.

Food was great, service so friendly, and the drink prices are such a great deal! It just took us awhile to get our check and often times things like our food and plates/ silverware was almost sent to wrong table. Outside can be alittle loud because on Connecticut but honestly such a wonderful time!!

Mad average. Good wine list but food is mediocre. Service fantastic do not sleep on these days waiters.

Restaurant did a good job with safety protocols. Liked that the menu was on an app.

They didn’t even acknowledge us we were sitting at the table for more than 20 minutes... very disappointed... it was a really awful feeling

Always a solid choice!

Our only problem was that it got very cold. They will need to get heaters and maybe curtains if they want to stay open once it's cooler outside. (We didn't want to eat inside.) I think the city might provide heaters for restaurants so they can stay busy.

We wanted to stop for italian food on our trip to Washington DC and came across to Settle Osteria.
From the first step in we were immersed in a warm wood burning smell of a pizza stove. Service was fast and very friendly. Food was like we are back in Rome. Pasta, pizza, salad... Every dish was so delicious. I regret I did not make any pictures...
Highly recommend.

Sette makes me feel safe and welcome during the pandemic. Thank you!
