   Skylark’s continues to excel in customer service! Their waitstaff listen well, work together as a team, and everything came to the table as ordered, nicely prepared, and pleasantly plated! My only disappointment was the caesar salad dressing that was quite watery and almost tasteless.

   Four adults and twin seven-year-olds… the kids got coloring pages and crayons to keep,them occupied, the wait staff was super friendly and efficient. Our order was delivered hit and fast and delicious. One adult though his linguini was a little too salty, but that was the only complaint. We’d all recommend it.

   Food is ok but not worth what they charge. The staff are super friendly but I can’t believe how inattentive they are! Like seriously. You feel invisible and have to wave them down for every thing - even to pay the bill. And they weren’t busy whatsoever so we can’t blame that. I finally walked up to the bar to pay with the bartender because we sat there for at least 10 minutes or more and our waitress was no where in sight. It’s odd. Not sure we’ll be going back.

   Food came very late into our sitting. Appetizer was served 45 minutes after we ordered. Our entree was served 30 minutes after that. We watched other couple come and go after eating all the courses of their dinner before we got our appetizer. Not happy with our evening overall. Not sure whether the slowness was due to the kitchen or the waitress Victoria.

We were fully staffed, even had an extra cooks helping out. But, we screwed up and allowed both our loft and outdoor tent to be sat and it is just to many tables for our kitchen to handle. We did as much business in one hour as we sometimes do during an entire day during the week. It was like drinking reservations out of a firehose. We very much apologize and hope you give us another chance.

    Went w my wife for dinner w a 7:00pm reservation. Waited 15 minutes to be seated and an hour and 20 minutes to be served. Our entree was not available so had a substitute. Throughout this period, the wait staff largely ignored us as (I think) they sensed my frustration. We were about to leave when the food arrived. It was OK. Finally, when I went to pay the waitress told me neither my credit or debit card was being accepted. Ridiculous as I have never had my cards rejected w over $25 K in available credit. This is a well known established restaurant so hard to understand the lack of planning & execution. I will return for breakfast or lunch but never again for dinner.

We had a good plan and were fully staffed, but allowed ourselves to take too many reservations and also sat some walkins inside our tent area. Our kitchen staff just could not keep up during the peak hours. We also did almost as much business during the peak hour as we do during an entire day during the week. We are very sorry you had a bad experience. Hopefully we learned our lesson and we hope you give us another chance.

    The Skylark Cafe is a lovely spot to 'wine and dine'. Nice ambience, great service, good food etc. And, it's great to catch some of live jazz on a weekend evening, if you can.

    What a disappointment. We made a reservation for a group of 6 for New Years Eve. Upon arrival, we opened the door to the small entry way and waited to be seated. We were yelled at by the bartender “In or Out! Close the door!” “Go outside, you’re letting all the cold air in.” He was so rude and disrespectful. He avoided eye contact and ignored us the rest of the night. What a way to be greeted. If it wasn’t NYE we would have left immediately. However, we stuck with our reservation since everywhere else was booked and we had a big group. The appetizers were great. Our group had about a 50% success rate with entrees, with one meal having to be sent back for the correct item. We noticed a couple that was seated next to us who didn’t even get spoken too for a long time, and when their food came, they had to send it back as well. Our server was very friendly and the most pleasant part of our experience there. Overall, the restaurant may have “won” that evening with our large bill, but will lose in the end because all 6 of us will never return and will tell others of such a horrendous start to New Years.

    Skylarks never disappoints! We loved the food and service! One person in our party didn’t like the pork bowl and said it was ok and wouldn’t order it again. Staff was on it and very friendly and attentive!

    My husband ordered chicken with mushrooms and the chicken was too tough to eat. I ordered stroganoff, and a side of veggies. There was very little meat in the stroganoff, but plenty of fat. My veggies were never delivered, but my indigestion hit hard and stayed all night. The price was pretty high, and I would gladly pay it for a good meal out, but this was a disappointing waste of time and money.

    We love Skylark for breakfast and go there often. However Thanksgiving dinner was a huge disappointment. Granted we had 7pm reservations but from the moment we walked in the door it was like they couldn’t wait for us to leave. We ordered dinner and were served a huge plate of food just dumped on a plate where you couldn’t separate one thing from another. The turkey was good but the stuffing and gravy were so salty they were inedible. We were also told while ordering that they had run out of desserts yet when we walked out after dinner there were several tables enjoying their pumpkin pie, etc.??? Disappointing is an understatement.

    We had Thanksgiving dinner. The price was great for the set meal - only $28 plus tax. And their seasonal cocktails were tasty! Only complaints were the stuffing was too salty and gravy sauce was peppery. Overall, we had a good experience and enjoyed our dinner. We will go back again for the next year’s thanksgiving.

    I completely understand that it was Thanksgiving and everyone was working their rear ends off. However, our waiter was almost nonexistent and when he was around, spoke to us very abruptly and coldly. We didn't receive our entire dinner, and even if we did there would be nowhere to put it all on our tiny table. No offers to refill wine, no refills of water glasses. Assumed we didn't want to see the dessert menu. I'm sure their normal daily service and menu is much better. I just won't be going there for a holiday meal again.

    Excellent thanksgiving meal, except the pumpkin pie and the chocolate decadence sold out, despite our reservation being at 4:45 pm! The apples were undercooked in the apple pie. Nice cocktails and meal though. 🤎❤️🧡💛🧡❤️🤎

    I hate to write a negative review, especially over a holiday, but our food was terrible. What should have been a classic Thanksgiving meal was basically an extremely salty gravy soup with scraps. My partner and I couldn't eat it and left hungry. Worst we've ever had.

    We arrived about 5 minutes before our reservation time and were seated immediately in a poorly heated tent. Our drinks were served quickly and we placed our order at that time. It was a special Thanksgiving dinner so the only menu option was turkey or ham. After waiting an hour without being served our meal, we left.

    We love the food. Everyone in the party was happy with their meal. Our only complaint is that the manager, who was our server, asked us to leave because she said she had other reservations waiting. We picked this restaurant because of the casual atmosphere and ambiance as we were meeting friends we had not seen in a while. It felt like she valued others more than us. I have never been asked to leave a restaurant before and felt a bit insulted by this. We had recommended the restaurant to our friends who had never eaten there before and I have to wonder if they would come back.

    We had a great time but noticed when the food came it was not “fresh” felt like it had been sitting on the counter for some time as meat had cooled and fries were room temp. Flavors were great and server was super friendly, but seems they may have been short staffed. Still wouldn’t stop me from coming back though!

    My dad was up visiting. I requested the warmest seat in the house for my 81 year old dad and they sat us right in front of the fireplace. It was perfectly toasty warm for him. The service was above and beyond making a special Italian Soda and hot cocoa with Extra whip cream for the kids. The food was and always is spectacular! My husband and I went on our first date 28 years ago at Skylark’s and continue to enjoy this gem. Great job everyone there!

    I was really excited about our dinner reservation. I had read good things about Skylark's and it was going to be our first time visiting. The ambiance was amazing, we were right next to the fireplace and all the wood throughout the building is beautiful. Unfortunately that's kind of were the good points ended for us. The food was not great. I had a fish wrap which was mostly dry slaw and huge chunks of cucumber. The fish was dry and hard. The artichoke dip was bland. Our server forgot to bring our drinks and the kitchen forgot the extra side of avocado for a dinner we ordered. The hostess was very nice and came by to check on us several times. Maybe breakfast or brunch is better there but for now I cannot recommend this place for dinner.

    Very disappointed with the food overall with the exception of the clam chowder which was fairly good. Our appetizer dishes came out after the mains. The tempura shrimp were cold and tasted like they came out of a pre-made frozen package. The restaurant is cute inside but the layout could have been better. Will not be going back again.

    We got seated last Saturday and we waited over 10 minutes with not one person stopping by our table. The place was maybe half full and we saw servers at other tables but no one came to us. We ended up walking out.

    We asked for outside seating - it was a warm Fall evening, so very nice out. The patio faces west, so if sunny bring your sunglasses or a hat. The service was quick and friendly. The artichoke dip for starters - lemony and hot - was very good. One of us had fish and chips (great breading, not greasy), the other a french dip, and the third the scampi (not so great, shrimp was not browned, could have had garlic and parsley in it). It’s a friendly spot with a varied menu, we will continue to visit.
