The food was really nice, but the service was poor, there were plenty of waiters but it was really hard to flag them down, and when you did eventually order a drink it would take about 10mins to arrive although the bar was close to the table.
So the service let the whole experience down unfortunately, there were a lot of busy waiters not doing much.
Really good food, however booked a table for 10.00PM and didn't get seated until 10.30PM.
Atmosphere was lovely and food came quick!
overpriced. the waitress gave my partner clean cutlery after his starter but not me. the dim sum burnt my tongue as it was filled with boiling water. also had to stand and wait 30 minutes to be seated.
The atmosphere is beautiful and very calming, but we had booked a table for 5pm, pretheatre so we had plenty of time to eat. We didn’t get to our table until 5.45 and was told to just order 5-6 starters each for quickness so we can leave for 7pm as meals take longer to prepare? We didn’t feel like we had eaten a proper meal and feel the table ‘that had been there since linchtime’ Should have been asked politely to leave, not make us wait.
Overpriced for what it is. Staters where nice, dim sum was good but the mains where average, had better from a Chinese takeaway for a fiver. Service was excellent, especially Veronica.
Fantastic restaurant. The food and atmosphere was excellent and the table service was first class. I will definitely go back.
Food took a long time to come. There was one server who was quite rude when asked about where our food was, but our actual server was lovely.
Amazing atmosphere, fantastic service and beautiful food. Cannot wait to go back.
Absolutely terrible experience, food was cold when it came out. We sent it back, we were then asked to leave because the food was cold for the second time and we sent it back. Terrible experience, a glorified Chinese takeaway at best. Staff were unbelievably rude.
Overpriced and underwhelming. Loud, most of the staff were foreign so it was extremely difficult to hear or understand them over the music and general dine. 2 drinks cost £16 pounds, the receipt for the drinks didn't break down the bill so we had no idea of the price of the individual drinks. They had a system where you handed over your card to set up a TAB. I haven't come across this before and frankly I found it very concerning, card fraud is rife in this country and this seems to encourage the potential for fraud.
The food was expensive and the menu limited. One of our choices from the menu was no longer available, this was at 6 p.m so I can only assume that this was unavailable on a permanent basis so should be removed from the menu. When our order arrived it was lukewarm and ordinary. Disappointing.
The restaurant is different, the atmosphere is lovely.
The food is great and the dessert and cocktails are the best part.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
I am sorry that I live in London otherwise I was there very often.
Good, modern Asian fusion type restaurant. Some dishes very good and some more interesting than completely successful from a taste point of view. All dishes beautifully presented. Cool interior. A bit noisy for a romantic date.
Amazing food in a feat atmosphere and service was second to none. Crispy pork belly was unbelievable!
Can’t fault Tattu. Seared tuna is amazing. Have booked again soon.
Stunning! Loved every second of our visit- thank you to everyone who made it so special for my daughter’s 21st. Food was sublime!
Was recommended a couple of dishes that sadly were not available when we dined! Some of the dishes we ordered were nice, particularly the Pecking Duck Bun which was amazing, everything else food-wise was just okay although the presentation of everything was lovely. Ambience and staff were excellent, cocktails were fab too. I would go again just for drinks as food a bit overpriced for what I thought of it.
The restaurant is a total experience - cool design and decor, great tasting food and drinks, and great service. Trendy and somewhat pricey, but worth it. We especially enjoyed the Peking duck buns, Kung Pao chicken and crispy duck rolls.
The food was very good when we got to it, the menu was simple enough and we were recommended in entry the Fixed Emporer, when we tried to order, informed one key part of this wasn’t available. Took a while to reorder and unclear on sizes and how much to order
Food was out of this world. I did request when booking the table to have a table underneath the blossom tree as we were coming for my birthday and we were just placed on a standard table in the corner. Felt like me requesting that when it asks for any messages on booking, it didn’t actually get listened to.
Would eat here again though just for the pure quality of food.
This is the third time of attending Tattu and must say my least favourite we were first squashed into a booth where we could hardly move or see. We then ordered the starters one of our party has there’s brought to the table a good 5 mins before anyone else’s. A dish was missed off from the main and came when everyone had finished. When I booked the table I told them at the time of booking this was for my daughters 30th birthday they said she would be given a dessert this did not happen I couldn’t ask for this as she was sat next to me. There was no fuss made at all. Very disappointing.
First visit for wife’s birthday with friends. Fantastic food and ambience. We shall be back.
Fantastic place, really enjoyed ourselves 😌
Waited over an hour for the food because there was a staff meeting find this inappropriate considering we were customers.
The food and our waiter were fantastic unfortunately we had to wait 40 minutes for our pre booked table. We were however offered a bottle of Prosecco and nibbles by way of compensation.
The only good thing on the menu is their drinks. The food is poorly seasoned and waiting staff were rather rude. We spent an awful lot of time waiting around.
I booked this as a last minute lunch trip on our visit to Manchester for my birthday . I had been previously to the Tattu in Leeds so my expectations were already quite hight but this visit out did itself! The customer service was amazing, and the waiter was really attentive; make us feel so welcome. We were a party of 6; We never have to ask for refills, he was always on it and the food was perfect. The waiter asked about the occasion because I'd not specified that it was my birthday and, to top it off he brought a dessert and sparkler to the table which was a suprise to us all, and that really made it for me! I felt so special so thank you guys!
The restaurant was beautifully set out, the cocktails were amazing and the food was absolutely delicious. Easily the best place I have ever visited.
Food just wasn’t as amazing as previous experiences
Food and drink was very expensive and the normal menu was a bit limited as there were options for set course options which had different dishes available. However some of the food kind of met the pricing of it and was good quality and tasted nice. Music was loud but pleasant and the service was okay. One thing that annoyed me was that a service charge was added onto the bill of about 15%. I feel like a tip should be voluntary and it was very cheeky of them. Make sure you ask for tap water as they give you water from a bottle and charge you. I would recommend for people who have a lot of money to spend.
The service and food let us down . I did not enjoy the time spend . I felt not valued as a customer . The food was about average . The experience was awful. I can’t get my head around why the restaurant have such a great reviews .
Yeas decor is amazing , shame that the rest does not follow .
Long wait between the courses , at one point we were given food , but we did not have cutlery to eat it . Food does not taste right . I did not finished my meal .
I did experienced before a Asian fusion fine dining , but this experience was below such .
I simply regret that. I make a reservation in there to celebrate my birthday .
Good food in a cool environment, something a little different.
Best restaurant in Manchester. Will definitely be going back!
Fanastic ambience, matched only by the food and service!
Great vibe, fabulous food and service. Only negative might be value for money. Overall I would still recommend this restaurant.
Tattu, was an incredible experience and it worth visiting. However the prices are so expensive they could give more food with the value that is paid.
Our food was excellent as was the atmosphere and service. Our only issue was that, although done politely, after 50 mins we were told we had one hour left, then told 20 mins left, then told 10 mins left, then the bill arrived with 5 mins keft.... I understand all the reasons, but as they had served all the food on time and we were not dragging our feet so were on time to leave anyway, the countdown was a little unnecessary.
The food was outstanding and the service was excellent, friendly but efficient.
Amazing lunch. Enjoyed every single mouthful. Very attentive staff. Will return ASAP.
Outstanding evening on Sunday! Thank you! Food and service was second to none
First time at Tattu, and celebrating a birthday. There was a problem with our table, booked for 9.30pm, but didnt sit down until after 10pm. To be fair, staff did keep us informed and brought us nibbles, but unfortunately we were really past it by the time we were settled at our table. Then the first 3 items we chose from the menu were not available. The food that arrived fell into 2 categories, really good or luke warm, the noodles we assume were microwaved because half the bowl was red hot and half stone cold, they did replace them, but overall a disappointing experience.
