    Lovely to see table decorated and given complimentary glass of wine for our anniversary. Service was lovely, the food was not great for price! It was a little bland and no sauces offered or put on sides. We was looking forward to a complete different menu than the one we got ! May be better to ring and check what’s being served on that day as we ended up ordering food we didn’t really want. Would probably return it as probably our fault not checking menu and only going by what’s on the website. The other thing I found quite bizarre! Was that it’s a very old place yet the music in back ground was 80s music! I did however find it amusing.

    We stayed at the hotel and ate dinner on the first night. All staff have been exceptionally friendly , welcoming and helpful . Out dinner was delicious. Set in tye beautiful beamed room with ambient lighting. The staff made a fuss of me as it was my birthday which was a lovely touch. All three courses of our meal were superb and good value for money I’d say. Thank you we highly recommend !

    Terrible experience, worst pasta dish I’ve ever had and steak was awful. Waitress said they keep them in a waterbath. Empty, soulless place to dine

    We found the bar area very cold and no bitter beer. The food was excellent and we had very attentive service. The dining room was immaculate although the large picture which supposedly represents the Tempest looked completely out of place. We had a Sunday roast dinner better than any we have had for some time. We shall certainly return.

    Stunning place. Very attentive and polite staff. The food was incredible! We went for my husband’s birthday and our 1st wedding anniversary joint meal and they went above and beyond to make it special for both. Thank you. We absolutely will be back!

    On arrival I was told it was “Curry Night” and I was not offered an alternative choice. As someone dining alone I found the music quite loud and intrusive to my thoughts. I am accustomed to having a Hendricks Gin & Tonic served with a cucumber garnish - there was no garnish at all.
