Ordered a fisherman’s platter oysters prawns calamari! They told us they ran out of prawns so we can give you more oysters? No thanks do you have fish ? We can give you fish from fish and chips? So oily and no platter here? Had a Long Island tea $28 and horrible it was flat coke We definitely won’t be back

The Atrium is undeniably a beautiful venue — the setting inside the InterContinental is stunning, and the foyer alone is one of the most impressive in Adelaide. However, our experience didn’t quite match the expectations set by the website. The online photos suggest a dining room overlooking the River Torrens, but from our table the river wasn’t visible at all. To see the view shown online, you actually need to leave your table and step outside, which was a little disappointing given that the riverside aspect was part of why we booked. The menu online also didn’t match the menu presented on the night. Several dishes we were looking forward to weren’t available, and the prices were slightly higher than advertised. It’s not a deal‑breaker, but it does affect expectations. Service started off a little slow, though once we placed our order the meals arrived promptly. The Wagyu burger bun was unfortunately burnt, and as we were heading to a show afterwards we didn’t have time to send it back. The schnitzel, however, was excellent, and the soup was enjoyable — though a bit overpriced for what it was. Overall, the location is superb and the ambience is lovely, but the mismatched menu, lack of the advertised view, and a couple of execution issues meant the experience didn’t quite live up to what we’d hoped for.

Went for 90 mins for pre-show drinks. Was told multiple times it was table service, but after 30 mins and 3 servers ignoring me, I went to the register and was told that they were way too busy for table service. One person serving cocktails, clearly run off her feet, one person struggling to pour multiple glasses of champagne. A beer was ordered and it took almost 45 mins to arrive. Won't be back.

A little loud, but it was packed last night.. Thee service was attentive, and the food and beverages were marvellous!! Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, and we've agreed to return.. I recommend the bacon crumb beans!!
