The Blackbird Restaurant is a Chef Owned Restaurant serving local, fresh ingredients. The Blackbird’s goal is to delight guests with cooking grounded in the traditions and ingredients of the Carolinas creating an unique and vibrant menu – New American with Southern Flares.

The menu features the seasonal best from local farmers, fresh catches from the coast of the Carolinas, incredible local micro-brews, specialty cocktails, and great wines from the around the world. Our menu changes seasonally to reflect the bounty of the area and the chef’s creativity. The Blackbird’s award-winning food, desserts and prompt service will impress you every time.

We are located in the heart of downtown Asheville, on Biltmore Ave. You can find us at the corner of The Aloft Hotel.

Parking Garage is located at the back on Lexington Ave. The first hour is free.

Best restaurant experience! The duck was amazing, the gnocchi and shrimp was outstanding. Must try their “on the post” Cocktail- both were delicious! Don’t forget dessert- coconut cake! Highly recommend to everyone!

The Blackbird is another Asheville favorite ~ they have a terrific menu, great atmosphere and excellent service. The Steak Tar-tar appetizer on the dinner menu is simply extraordinary. There is something for everyone on this menu, and for our latest visit we enjoyed the Shrimp & Gnocchi ~ delicious. The service is terrific and the atmosphere very enjoyable (we had a corner window seat). We highly recommend The Blackbird and will visit again when we go to Asheville.

The food was divine, the server (Alyssa) was charming and informative, and the atmosphere was festive without being overly noisy. Open windows let in fresh afternoon air and created a sidewalk cafe vibe. It was our second time there, and we’ll definitely be back!

Very content with noise level. Brunch Drinks were excellent. Server and customer service were great.I had a Caesar salad and did not love how much dressing there was. It made the salad not crunchy and soggy. Overall, it was a good restaurant for brunch.

Excellent meal. The smoked pork chop was subtle and delicious accompanied by a sweet potato gratin, yum. The cocktails were imaginative and refreshing. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. A perfect evening for our short stop in Asheville. Do yourself a favor and get a reservation.

One of our most memorable meals! Truly creative dishes that were wonderful and eye appealing. The goat cheese and corn pie was amazing and the local caught trout special with French black peas was so inventive. This place is amazing - both food and friendly, attentive service

Visiting Asheville and tried The blackbird for the first and a last time. The sauce for the mussels was delicious, but we had a few bad mussels so Sent it back . The beet salad was good. We tried two different steaks. The ribeye, and I can’t recall the name of the other one, but Both were grizzly and difficult to cut let alone chew! Our server was pleasant and accommodating, but overall it was a bad experience
