   The food was great and we were able to take our dog with us. It is a very popular place so the noise level was loud but thats to be expected! We will be back!

   This was my first time visiting here and I look forward to returning. The cocktails were lovely (and actually had a kick, unlike so many places that charge £10 for fruit juice with a raspberry on the top). I had the beef brisket bun and it was fantastic. The Chicken wings were also great. The menu is small but I think sometimes this is better as the quality seems to be better and that certainly was the case at the Blackbird. Highly recommend. Before we left, we had another cocktail in the heated beer garden which I would enjoy returning to in the summer months, it was a nice.

   One of my fav bars in the city. The Sando on the smalls menu is unreal. The beef burger was super tasty too. The festive spiced apple rum was just the ticket. Music perfect and so cosy. The outdoor bar area is fully covered perfect for an after dinner cocktail. Highly recommended.

    Great place, I must admit I favour the outdoor seating as the atmosphere is good but you feel less cramped and overwhelmed, it feels cut off from the city and you could easily believe you were miles away. During busy hours the indoor seating just loses the atmosphere as it's so loud (you pretty much have to shout for the person nexto you to hear you) and cramped. If it's quiet then no complaints it feels warm and cosy, you can enjoy a drink or some food, there's a nice buzz and chatter. On every visit the service has been impeccable, the staff are all polite and attentive without being pushy or in your face. Drinks are well made, plenty of selection without being over the top, you can enjoy such a wide variety, you never just want to have one and with each visit you need to try something new. The food is easy and full of flavour, may not be a place for dinner but for a quick bite or some accompaniments for your drinks it is ideal. Definitely worth it!!

    We loved our meal at the Blackbird! The Bang Bang Chicken was absolutely fabulous - cooked to perfection. Our waitress was lovely and the service added to the whole experience. We will definitely be back to try the burgers which looked amazing at the next table. Thank you - what a pleasure to eat here.

    Lovely spot for drinks! Best halloumi fries EVER. Thank you for making mine and my partners anniversary so special - we had our first date here a year ago, so it was so lovely to come back a year on.

    Young crowd great ambience but can be very loud indoors! Mirrors reflect noise!! Space outside is better! If you are on a date better somewhere quieter!

    Lovely food, good selection of beers and friendly staff. I had the Bibimbap which had just the right balance of chilli heat and flavours. Music a bit loud for me, but that didn’t stop us going there two nights running during our short break in Edinburgh.

    We had a super meal and drinks at blackbird, providing the ideal casual dining experience for catching up with friends. The ‘Old Fashioned’ cocktail was superb, I would recommend this!

    The pub is cold . The menu lacks any imagination for bar food , the burgers were dry , overcooked and tasteless : we did inform the server and she kindly discounted our food . Sorry but won’t be back

    There is an extensive cocktail menu, and we enjoyed our choices. The food menu is short, and not the most adventurous, but our chicken and corn on the cob was very tasty.

    Great assistance from server to explain cocktails which we really enjoyed. Note that we didn't have food but survey wouldn't let me continue without a rating. Always looks lovely though.

    Overall, a bit disappointing. Requested an outdoor table via OpenTable but were advised on arrival that we had booked an indoor table so our table of 8 had to sit inside when we had anticipated a sunny later afternoon dinner. Service was great, drinks and snacks were good, but the fish finger burgers lacked any taste.

    The garden is the surprise delight and a great place to enjoy the weather. The cocktails are outstanding and the reason to go. The food is good and I like the rice bowls but they do good salads and burgers. Very friendly service.

    The Blackbird is a lovely informal bar and restaurant. The garden area where we ate lunch is superb: calm and well looked after. Good food and excellent attentive serving staff. Highly recommended.

    The food was very average with greasy chips and burger . The bang bang chicken was rather stodgy . Felt ripped off with tiny bottles of San Pelligino and no bottles or cans of Diet Coke ! Who actually drinks horrible coke from a tap these days ? The staff were good and the setting was good. But felt this place is profit over customer experience with soft drinks . In the NBB book.

    Our waitress was great, very welcoming, attentive and was able to confidently answer any questions that we had. Only complaint was the food ( which tasted great) was rather expensive.
