This is one of those finds that you really feel like downgrading your review for fear of it becoming to popular and not being able to get a table ever again. The atmosphere is highly conducive to conversation, no loud music, even when sitting under the speaker. The food is seasonal so there is not a vast array of food choices to confuse and the Chef has the most balanced pallet. I had three courses and did not feel bloated or over fed. The wine by the glass is a good quality wine and can be matched to the menu. The bottom line is that, we loved it so much we went back within a couple of days and it was equally as good. We will be back again.

Sadly we were very disappointed after reading great reviews and our to celebrate my 60th birthday. The lady behind the bar was very pleasant and friendly. The starters were good however the few locals in were very loud and intrusive and seemed unaware of us as diners. We both had lamb stew which was poor quality and the chunks of meat and veg were too big to eat without cutting up which was difficult in a small casserole dish. It was also far too salty. A very disappointing evening .

Fantastic Sunday lunch for a family of four. Food was excellent - more expensive than others but the quality of the food made up for that. Service was also excellent giving sufficient time to order whilst delivery was prompt. Highly recommended.

The menu was a good choice for Sunday lunch. The preparation of the food was excellent. We had 3 different starters between us, which everyone enjoyed. The roast beef was a delight, still very pink and full of flavour.

A chance find during a short break exceeded expectations. Food was beautifully presented, of superb quality and very tasty. The host was very friendly, informative and enthusiastic about the food and local ingredients. A must if you are in the neighbourhood.

Small restaurant ( booking highly recommended) in a very cute pub in a tiny little village in the middle of nowhere but it is definitely worth a drive if you are staying nearby ! The chef definitely knows how to cook with a lot of flavour. good prices and decent portions. Fish and chips were fantatsic - i would dare to say they were the best ive ever had - chips were stunning and so was the fish full of flavour. My other half's steak dish was devine and everything that came with it including mashroom sauce. oh and the bread they serve while you wait is fantastic. Sadly we didnt have a room for dessert - next time ! all in all very good and we were impressed. Service guys were very attentive and polite. we both loved it ! thank you
