For over 30 years, The Elderberry House has been recognized as the premier fine dining destination in the area. This European haven, nestled in the Sierra Mountains just minutes from Yosemite National Park, lends itself to an unforgettable evening for gourmands and wine enthusiasts.

Dinner at The Elderberry House is a thrill for the senses, showcasing seasonal ingredients from local farms that harvest exclusively for our culinary team. We are currently offering a seasonal petite pre-fixe or a pre-fixe tasting menu. Start the evening off with a hand-crafted cocktail at The Cellar, a craft cocktail bar.

In order to provide you with the best dining experience, we require 48-hour advance notice for any guests with dietary/allergy restrictions. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available, kindly let us know in advance.

Please know we have an age minimum of 8 years and older in the Restaurant to ensure an intimate environment.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Janelle and I celebrated our anniversary at Elderberry House, and it turned out to be one of the best parts of our weekend in Yosemite. Everything about the evening felt special. The food was outstanding, the service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere made it easy to relax and just enjoy being together. What really stood out was how thoughtfully everything was done, including the custom wine pairings. Nothing felt rushed or overdone, and we genuinely felt taken care of throughout the evening. We’ve had some wonderful anniversary dinners over the years, but this one will definitely stand out. Elderberry House was the highlight of our trip, and we’re already looking forward to finding an excuse to come back!

The food was just okay at best, they definitely put A LOT more effort into the presentation of diahes than they did to the flavor of them. Many items on the menu were not very descriptive and left us surprised by what arrived at the table. The portions were also very tiny, especially considering the absurd price we paid. My wife and I each ordered the three course meal with one drink each, and the bill came out just barely shy of $400 after their mandatory 22% service charge for all checks. To really put it into perspective, we left dinner here and ordered Doordash McDonald's to our room at Château du Sureau where we were staying next to the restaurant to actually feel satisfied after a full day of hiking Yosemite NP. By comparison, we've eaten at Bourbon Steak in Nashville Tennessee, enjoyed the best meal we'd ever eaten, paid about $50 less including tip and left full plus with leftovers. Not to mention received far better service at Bourbon. I know TN to CA price comparison isn't exactly apples to apples, but the experience, portions, taste and service comparison between the two is definitely worth mentioning. Overall, our stay at the neighboring Château du Sureau was a bit soured by the experience had at the restaurant. The wait staff were fine, polite respectful and helpful when asked, but nothing overly special or noteworthy. If the price for dinner was closer to 50-60% of the bill total we received, I wouldn't have been quite as disappointed. But as mentioned, we've eaten far better food with adequate portions for less, and dinner could have been a much higher note on our trip had we chosen to eat elsewhere in town, rather than the convenient yet underwhelming option next door.

The food was very disappointing for the price. The portions of the five course prix fixe were small. The first course crudo was the best thing. A tomato salad was whole peeled cherry tomatoes that I suppose were blanched or boiled to loosen the skin. It made for cold, cooked tomato feel and taste. The olive oil mixture it was in was nice. The salmon was bland. The beef was nice but served with an overpowering tomato paste. The cheese plate dessert was particularly terrible - dried little bits of flavorless cheese served with small red grapes with loose skin both seeming like they were scrounged up from the back of the refrigerator. A disappointing meal for my 50th birthday celebration for sure. $570.

This restaurant and the 4 course dinner with wine pairings was one of the most phenomenal meals we've had anywhere in the world! Chef & Sommelier created a fantastic meal that can't be graded against other restaurants because it is so far above in quality, originality, and flavor than anyone else! Thank you for the most memorable evening seared in our hearts!

WOW! What a meal. Portions were just right due to the richness of the flavors. The service was amazing, each dish served and explained. They even called me to discuss my allergies. Definitely will be going back, wished I lived closer to them - would go more often!

This was our third visit to the restaurant, so it is disappointing to say that this experience fell short of our expectations. The prix fixe dinner menu did not provide the value we anticipated for the price. The first course was very good, and the wine pairings complemented each course nicely. My King salmon, which appeared to be approximately four ounces, was cooked perfectly but was overly salty and was not accompanied by any side dishes. My husband enjoyed his ribeye and felt it was well prepared albeit small portion also. Given that there was only one other couple dining in the restaurant, we found the service slower than expected. In particular, there were noticeable delays in clearing our empty plates between courses. Overall, while there were some positive aspects to the meal, the experience did not meet the standard of our previous visits.
