   Delicious food in an opulent setting. We were a party of four celebrating 2 birthdays & it was a lovely evening with delicious food. There was a DJ, and great to have some background music although it was quite loud.

   We booked this 4 weeks in advance and were really looking forward to it. On arrival we were told to wait at the bar for our table as it wasn’t ready, there was nowhere to sit at the bar and we were just stood there like lemons. We were there for 25 minutes just stood in the way, we were then moved to our table which was behind a pillar, we still hadn’t even had a drink, every waiter/waitress ignored us. The time was approaching 45 minutes and we still hadn’t been served, not even a drink. I went to reception and asked to be moved next door to the ivy because we’d never experienced such bad service anywhere. This was a special occasion and it was ruined. Luckily the Ivy next door treated us well. The whole experience or lack of it in the ivy Asia has made us decide we won’t ever be trying it again there. The service was terrible and we didn’t even get to try any food. We left feeling bitterly disappointed. I wouldn’t waste your time or money, if you are thinking about going, or if you are, prepare for terrible service.

   Great atmosphere and lovely setting for a special occasion. Food was nice, lots of taste with every dish and cocktails were amazing! Asked server to recommend number of dishes/ sides etc as menu is quite complex but we had way too much food! Portion sizes are big, so be careful not to over order

   We went for my Birthday and it was incredible from start to finish. Sam looked after us all night, made us laugh, gave great recommendations and made sure I felt super special on my Birthday. Food was stunning, ambience was incredible and we just had an overall epic evening. When you factor in the beautiful surroundings and service, the food isn’t actually expensive at all. You pay for the whole experience and it’s worth every penny. Thank you Sam for everything, you contributed massively to this fantastic evening.

    For one more time we visited The Ivy Asia Cardiff on Mother’s Day Dinner with friends and family. We were looked after by Giselle this time, she was above and beyond.Sam and Pat as well made sure that our drinks are full and welcomed us in the venue once more!The ambience is unique and the DJ made our night with the hits. This time we decided to have the Experience for 4 people and it was so so delicious!However we skipped some mains cause we ve been full,not the Dessert selection though!Thank you guys,keep up the hard work.We will be soon back.

    Beautiful restaurant and excellent food. The only thing to mark down on is value for money. I’m not sure some of the dishes are worth £30 a piece.

    We had to ask for drinks several times because they forgot to bring them, they brought us starters and the drinks were delivered after the main course was served. We were celebrating our anniversary and despite indicating it in the reservation they had no detail or consideration about it. Therefore it makes no sense to indicate it in the reservation because they do not take it into account at any time. The ambience is fine but neither the price nor the service is in keeping with it.

    Food was very nice, but wouldn’t say it was worth the money we paid. Service was excellent, however the music inside the restaurant was so loud that we could barely talk amongst ourselves or with our server. They do also add a 13.5% service charge onto your bill which is a bit extortionate, considering how much the food/drinks are to begin with, and we didn’t even get asked if we wanted to pay it when it came to settling the bill.

    Service was appalling, we didn’t even have any service. We had to ask to order drinks, food ect. Nobody checked on us once and food took so long to come out and also forgot a whole dish! It felt like they were avoiding our table, so disappointing.

    Everyday dining - it is not. Reserve for special occasions. The food and presentation was excellent, although we experienced a delay in the kitchen which meant one guest had to leave before the desert course was swerved. The Ivy Asia staff kindly packed that desert up and our unfortunate guest got to enjoy it later. We were also presented with the wrong tab - which was an error that would have resulted in an additional £100+ had we paid it without checking. Would we visit again - yes, but reserved for very special event, as it’s quite pricey!

    The venue was beautiful, the food was delicious, the staff were good. However something needs to be done about the music. For a lunch time service I really don’t want to be listening to repetitive awful bass lines and not much else. Perhaps there’s an issue with the speaker system as I noticed the DJ had a speaker near her with a totally different sound. Either way it was very poor music choice for lunchtime service and diminished the experience.

    It was my friends 21st, Loreen was a lovely waitress and ensured my friend felt very special on her birthday. The food came out quickly and it tasted delicious. Everything was amazing about this place including the interior and definitely the service.

    The service was outstanding. I’d like to particularly mention our Waiter, Oliver, who was charming, friendly and attentive, along with Samantha, who was so lovely. Also loved your DJ, Esther. The ambiance her music created, on a chilled Sunday evening, was such a bonus. Food excellent, as per too 😋

    Food is very good and the staff and venue are both lovely. The only slight negative is the price it would prevent me going as often as I would like too.
