It was a typical pub food experience but it didn’t wow me. There are many country pubs in the area and it doesn’t quite hit the mark for me to say it is my ‘go to’ place. Very pleasant but there are better options out there. Hence the 3 stars. It has great potential though so it will be interesting to go back in a couple of months to give the new owners a chance to put there mark on the place.

Not the best roast beef, poor quality of beef, nothing seemed or tasted homemade, not the gravy or horseradish.

Would have given straight fives, but they've decided to stop selling my favourite beer (Harvey's Sussex). From now on we'll be in there a lot less frequently
