Nestled in the heart of Edwinstowe, on the edge of the legendary Sherwood Forest, The Olive Tree is a charming, intimate bistro and wine bar housed in a beautifully restored former butcher’s cottage.

Our cosy setting is part of our charm. We are a small, characterful venue with limited space, creating a relaxed and personal dining experience where guests can enjoy attentive service, a warm welcome, and a cosy, vibrant atmosphere. Wow we had the pleasure of eating in the olive tree yesterday a pre birthday meal . The surf and turf was amazing may I say cooked to perfection may I also say it was one of the best meals I’ve had in avery long time . Congratulations to the chef

The food was lovely, fresh and reasonably priced. Some of the portion sizes were a bit big for us, but that's just our preference. The service was timely and the staff were friendly.

Really cosy bistro in heart of village. Varied menu with many tasty & healthy eating options. Staff were excellent Highly recommended !

An intimate restaurant but it's easy to block out other conversations, (I like to drop in on my own and read or clear some work tasks when I can) the food is always good. Other colleagues agree and we've booked our Xmas Meal here for this year, really looking forward to that. Josh, Lucy and Charlotte do a great job and are well liked in the village which is not easy to achieve.

Absolutely wonderful food. Such great choice, amazing flavours and there's no skimping on portions at all. Those chips were devine. Such a nice atmosphere and decor. Staff are really attentive and friendly. Tables are a tad close together, but it is a small building. I will be back!

We have lived in Edwinstowe for many years, but had not yet had the opportunity to visit the olive tree since it was taken over. We went on Saturday night for our wedding anniversary and we’re not disappointed. We chose the Tapas menu and had belly pork, Arancini, garlic mushrooms, meatballs and sides of skin on fries and the bread with aioli. It was actually far too much food for us and we could not finish it all. But wow, was it good! The quality of the food was excellent, I had a couple of lovely cocktails made Fresh not premade ones which makes all the difference. The service was great, the staff and management very friendly and overall the atmosphere was fab. We would definitely recommend trying here and hopefully one day when we have childcare, we can come back and try the Sunday lunch sharing platter. Highly recommend thank you for making our anniversary lovely.
