Pearson’s Arms is a popular seaside pub located just a hop, skip and a jump from the water’s edge in beautiful Whitstable. We serve real ales, fine wines and wholesome food to local regulars, intrepid travellers and everyone in between. We pride ourselves on retaining all those great qualities of a classic English pub: a cosy feel, friendly atmosphere and quality food and drink. We’re also very much a product of our environment; Whitstable and the surrounding area is famous for its ales and locally grown (or caught) produce, and our menus are regularly changing collections of delicious seasonal fare. Pearson’s Arms is also well-known locally for our live music nights, with regular performances from some excellent local musicians. You’ll even find yourself pleasantly surprised by the standard and creativity of our cocktail menu.

The food never disappoints. great produce, ingredients and flavours. The wine recommended to us was spot on too. I love it here!

Lovely Sunday roast as always - and the Tiramisu cocktail is perfect to finish on when you’re too full for another course. Looking forward to our next visit !

Small plates were good as starters especially the scotch egg but disappointed by main courses. The belly pork was not crispy and seemed mediocre. The burger was dry. One of my favourite restaurants in Whitstable and I have been many times but doesn’t seem as good as it was .

Very disappointed very overrated pub, food and menu not impressive, very noisy, although warned it was only as we sat down and we were prebooked. Table of 20 males, couldn’t hear conversation around our table. Would not return, expensive and ram shackled.

Very nice food lovely local oysters and fish chips and all the bits! Wine reasonable value and a live band downstairs for drinks afters. Asked for a window seat when booked and got one. Nice service from all staff, very professional set up! Will use again. Stayed in fishermans hut 14 which across the road so very easy stumble back!!

Since living in Whitstable, we've neglected to go to the Pearson's Arms, for some reason, till Friday. The food is a mixture of British and Mediterranean, with, as expected, plenty of fish and seafood options. We had aubergines for starters, and a black pudding Scotch egg, which was amazing in taste and very filling. My main course was brisket of beef, while my wife went for Dover sole - both cooked to perfection and excellent, and served with a selection of vegetables. We swapped the wines around for our courses, as we were eating different things, and didn't want a bottle - wine is always pricier by the glass, but the prices are not too outrageous. I had a dessert of chocolate brownie and honeycomb - I could have gone for any of the desserts on the list, as they all looked brilliant - and it was a spoonful too far, but I couldn't resist. The music came up from downstairs, mostly 60s and 70s classics, but it was fine, at a sensible volume once it got up the stairs. (Downstairs it was a bit raucous, as it's a younger crowd.) Upstairs in the restaurant, the atmosphere is good, with lots of wood everywhere, and candles and low lights. If it's not obvious, I really recommend the Pearson's Arms for a meal.

We really liked the Pearson’s arms . It had the feeling of a nice traditional pub . The food was great but above all the staff were wonderful , despite being very busy , nothing was too much for them .
