Amazing food, and worth every penny. The staff were so professional and polite. The food was delicious. I will definitely be going back again soon.

I only visit Wells once or twice a year but your Sunday roast is well worth the drive from Surrey. Absolutely superb. Staff are brilliant. Looking forward to my next visit. Thanks to you and all the team.

What a wonderful way to end our weekend away! We will be visiting again…. I think best roast dinner I have ever had.

If I could give 6 stars for the food I would. Absolutely outstanding food, service and atmosphere. I honestly can’t fault this place. We will be back

The food at the Sheep & Penguin is outstanding, I can highly recommend the mussels, the pork belly and the sticky toffee pudding. We were a party of 6 and everyone really enjoyed their meal. Highly recommended. Great range of beers too and superb cocktails. Service very friendly and super helpful. I wish I lived a bit closer but I would certainly travel to go here again.

The sunday lunch was delicious, as always. Staff super friendly and helpful. This is by far our favourite place to eat

Food was great, scallops and mussels cooked to perfection. Meals huge so you need to arrive hungry! No way we could manage the fabulous looking desserts. Staff attentive and humorous, no hassle to rush our meal.

Food was excellent. Service excellent. Order a bottle of Alvarinho wine at £41. We received a bottle of Vinho Verde which is a cheaper wine that sometimes contains the same grape as a blend. Main difference is Alvarinho is a still more rounded, full-bodied wine. Vigo Verde is light and has a fizz which this had. I questioned this as two different wine as it was sold as Alvarinho not Vinho Verde and got the explanation it contained the same grape. Why would you advertise as one and give another. I lived in Portugal for many years and Vinho Verde much cheaper than the £41 I was charged for Alvarinho. Love the food love the service and ambience. Just as our taste over the wine.
