Over dit restaurant

The Tontine Hotel offers ""a celebration of Scottish Borders food"" from its picturesque location on Peebles High Street, 22 miles south of Edinburgh. The hotel is only a short walk away from the banks of River Tweed and Eddleston Water. Waverley Station and the city centre are around 50 minutes by car or taxi (2 hours approx. by bicycle). The Tontine Hotel, set in a 19th century Georgian town house, has separate restaurant, bar, bistro and lounge spaces. The varied yet chic décor of the hotel's interiors showcase a number of styles, from classic to contemporary. The restaurant's menu, which is dominated by locally-sourced produce, offers a variety of classic fish, lamb, beef, and game dishes; there is also a dedicated children's menu. The bistro offers a relaxed, informal setting in which to enjoy a light lunch or evening meal, while in the lounge you can enjoy home-made baked goods, finger sandwiches and a cup of freshly brewed tea or coffee or a glass of champagne.
