First time bringing our daughter to Mount Vernon. Heard this was a good restaurant it did not disappoint!
Our table service was decent, the food was well prepared.
However, I got the Lobster Cobb Salad to go because my husband was working and when he went to eat it he said there was basically no lobster in it.
For a salad that costs $24 I would expect there to be quite a bit of lobster meat in the salad. So incredibly disappointed.
I went to meet a friend for brunch at The Warehouse. We sat downstairs by the window which was great for people watching. The host was nice and attentive. Initially, he insisted my party was for 4 people, even after I corrected him several times. Eventually, he saw his error of looking at a similar name and apologized. Our server was also attentive and very polite. He made sure we were taken care of without being intrusive. I had the Nola Brunch and my friend had the French toast. The French donuts (included with the Nola Brunch) were great! The eggs and hash browns were also very tasty. Next time, I will specify "scrambled hard". The Nola Brunch also comes with bacon. All and all it was a very nice meal for $15 and it came with a free glass of champagne. The champagne was not to my liking but it was free! My friend enjoyed her French toast which came with a choice of sausage links or bacon. Like me, she did not enjoy the champagne (but again it was free!).
I would go to this restaurant again.
Service was exceptional, food delicious and outside dining was very covid safe!
The warehouse was okay but not the best bang for the buck. I would try it again but would not be my first choice.
Food was just okay
Prompt service. Made good recommendations on our entrees. Crab cakes were the best.
Veal Chop creole style was amazing, the bread pudding for dessert was delicious. Service was first class! Wine list was a little lacking but I’m finding that with most restaurants in the the Alexandria area. Give this restaurant a try it will not disappoint.
Ash was the perfect server of the evening!! He made recommendations & all he pointed out, we purchased. Good was really good!! The Asian baby back ribs were delicious. I also ordered the seafood sampler & turf & surf. The pecan pie wasn’t that great. I believe it was burnt but I ate the I cream that came along side it😊
Food was excellent and prepared just the way we wanted.
Everything was perfect. From them greeting us to them rearranging our seating arrangement. Our server was Awesome and the food was Fantastic.
Every time we are in the area we always have a meal at The Warehouse. My husband always orders the smothered catfish and is never disappointed by his meal.
Best dining experience in Alexandria. So accommodating, we were even provided the exact table I requested.
The food was outstanding and the restaurant owner was very engaging with the customers. This will be a regular for me when dining out in Old Town Alexandria.
We had a lovely dinner date at The Warehouse celebrating my husband's birthday. We shared a wedge salad, which was delicious, and we both ordered the Steak Pontchartrain and it was fabulous. The lump crab was delicious. Chef Ruamthong came to speak to us and wish my husband a happy birthday, which was an unexpected treat and very kind. We will absolutely return to The Warehouse in the future if we return to Alexandria. Thank you for a wonderful dinner!
We enjoyed our meals and the service was great! We had the crab cakes which were really delicious! We also had the pecan crusted salmon and the fried catfish entrees. All were wonderful. The servers were very attentive and friendly. I recommend this restaurant for a dinner out!
Delicious Cajun food from appetizers to entrees with outstanding service. We can’t wait to go back
The Warehouse is a GEM in the middle of Old Town! The service, management, food, and drinks are always on point. I had a few friends come for the first time and they loved it and said they will definitely be back!
Oyster sandwich was very tasty. She crab soup was full of ground up onions which was not described on the menu.
The food, and atmosphere was amazing! We will definitely be back!
Charbroiled oysters were amazing!
Took my bf there for his birthday (rare night out during Covid)- the staff was attentive and everything was fantastic.
The service was excellent and the food was delicious.
The food was excellent and the service was great.
I made a reservation at this restaurant for my birthday based on a past visit. We were a party of six. The first thing was they sat us at a table that is built to accommodate 4 people. The second thing was our waiter seemed surprised that we each wanted 1 or more appetizers. The next thing was as the food started coming out and he realized that there wasn’t enough space on this table for 4 that they had us sitting at, he became visibly annoyed with us. It should be noted that this was a brunch. We did ask our server why we were seated at such a small table to which he replied that it was all they had. It should be noted that there were bigger tables not being used. When we started placing our orders our waiter “El” became further annoyed with the amount of food we ordered. He questioned why some of us ordered the quantity of food that we did which made the entire party uncomfortable. He did not attend to our table very well. We only saw him when it was time to order and when the food arrived. Once our food started to arrive there was obviously not enough space for everyone’s food on the table. Once the table was full and there were still entrees not yet sat down, I asked him where he planned to put the rest of the food. He responded that people don’t usually order more than one entree. That may be true but there wasn’t even enough room for 6 people to have 1 plate of food. Finally I asked for a manager because this was just stupid and uncomfortable. When the manager came over I asked him why he opted to seat us at such a small table. He replied that he had a lot of large parties today and he was working with what he had. He was argumentative but did agree to pull another table over to us so that we could have more space. I made the comment that I had made the reservation a whole week in advance to which the manager replied “it didn’t matter”. Well it should’ve. I informed him that I wasn’t interested in arguing as again he was being argumentative.
Service started out well. Our order was taken and drinks delivered promptly. The food also came out quickly by a food runner. But then it was a long time before we saw the waiter again. He never checked to see if the food came out alright. We wanted to order another round of drinks and kept trying to get his attention but he didn't come to the table for about 10 minutes. Then it took another 10 minutes to get the drinks and we sat there with our empty dirty plates.
Great food and service. Crab cakes were awesome
Ambiance, service, and quality of food were all excellent.
Very friendly atmosphere.
Best seafood and 🐠 restaurant in old Town. She-crab soup is out of this world as are it's catfish dishes. Charming setting in old warehouse on King Street.
Food was great
Waiter was friendly a little kurt
Bar made was good
The place is nice, but the food is definitely not worth the money. It was very expensive and the food was bland and tasteless! However, the ambiance and the service was nice.
The service was lovely, but honestly, the food was “meh”.
On top of that, it was overcrowded for a Covid environment. We had 4 four-tops in a row on the second floor, clearly in violation of social distance requirements. I am sympathetic of the need for restaurants to survive, but this was way over the top. Lastly, somebody was a little too heavy with the curry powder on the crab imperial, which was confusing, to say the least. Not sure I will make that a destination anytime soon.
Amazing as always! Best restaurant in old town!
The gator bites were really good however the gumbo it is defiantly not Louisiana style it was not good. The server was very welcoming.
Always a pleasant dining experience at the Warehouse.
I chose the warehouse because they were very eager to have us. When we got there the winner was very attentive and patient with us. He joked with us often. The food came in a timely manner and was delicious. Also we had our own personal corner in the restaurant. Having a large party during Covid he’s especially stressful but they handled it with grace. Overall great experience. Strongly recommend this restaurant.
Took my beautiful lady to Alexandria for her birthday and an escape from the daily norm. I read the reviews for The Warehouse and it seemed like a safe bet for a nice atmosphere and some good food. The atmosphere and the people didn’t disappoint. The food did disappoint. It wasn’t “bad” and it was presented well, but it definitely wasn’t worthy of the price. I ordered the Pontchartrain dish and the filet was cooked perfectly medium rare, but there was no flavor to the rest of the dish and everything was lukewarm at best. My lady ordered the pan-seared salmon and again it was like there was no seasoning. Both dishes had the same “sauce”, which was more like a gravy that came out of a jar. I guess I just expected more.
New Orleans style food was great. Drinks were nice, too.
