    This restaurant has a great location in South Tampa, with easy access to the Straz theater downtown. While the food was good, the portions were extremely small & everything is a la cart, so the meal was pricey. The tables outside are nice and if the weather is accommodating, this is a nice place to sit and people watch. The inside is very noisy and if you are hearing challenged, you will not enjoy dining inside.

    Our food was perfect, service was fast and really enjoyable. Our waitress had a great attitude and was always attentive to our needs. The only part that was annoying was all the guys with small dicks reving there engines with their wanna-be sports cars at the red light, as we sat on the patio. Of course this is not the restaurants fault, but otherwise, it's a great place and we will be going back soon.

    Our server, Dottie is excellent. Super sweet and makes great recommendations. Timpano just has that ‘good times’ vibe. Great food, great drinks, and great music. Everything is delicious. Chef Michael Ferraro put his classy New York spin on Timpano’s revived style. Definitely a must if you’re in the area.

    Well, I screwed up: I booked my wife’s 50th birthday dinner based on recommendations to a place we have never been before. What a mistake! The service was horrible - our waitress had a “low voice” and could barely be heard over the incredibly noisy restaurant. She was helping to serve a large table and so we were left with what time she had - which was little. The food was below average - we tried two apps and two entrees. Meh. We both agreed we have had better food at a dozen or more other Italian restaurants in the past couple of years. Finally, we were seated at a high top - the hostess knew it was a birthday celebration as she wished my wife happy birthday upon arrival (which was very nice). Maybe I needed to be more clear about wanting it to be special, but I figured just saying it was her birthday in my reservation would be a clue to find us a nice spot. Nope. And our waitress either forgot it was her birthday or was never told. No idea. Never again at this place. Good luck to you.

    Went for lunch. The roasted Muscles were fabulous. Sadly the medium rare ordered steaks were way over cooked and ended up almost well done by the end of the meal. We shoukd have said something but was too busy with the visit update.

    We had not been back to Timpano since the remodel during Covid. It’s got a California edge to the Interior. The menu is very diverse but what impressed me most was the service you needed nothing and someone was there thinking of it before you needed it in today’s restaurant environment that is rare. It would be the reason we would go back quickly.. Bon appétit

    I really wanted to like this restaurant but it was extremely underwhelming. The popular pesto dish they’re known for that serves 2-3 people ($43) came out cold and hard. My boyfriend took one bite and spit it out. The server was awesome and did offer to toss it on a skillet for me to cook some more, but at that point I just took it to go. There were no protein add ons as an option to any of the pastas, if you’re looking for that option this is “Italian style cooking” and won’t do that for you, however the vibe in the room was modern R&B, so not at all what I expected. I wish I could leave a more positive review but we spent over $100 and I had to go home and cook dinner anyways :(

    Let me start off by saying our server was really good, super sweet and seemed like she cared about our experience. Our reservation was at 5pm and the hostess stand made us wait 15 min to sit down even tho there were open tables. And we went back to the hostess stand to ask, the didn’t come to us to seat us. The food took forever, well what felt like forever. The Parmesan tableside pasta dish is a huge scam. They just mix the stuff (and splash the oil and pesto all over your clothes!!) next to your table in some fake Parmesan bowl. YouTube how the Parmesan bowl is supposed to work, and you will see what I am talking about if you order this $42 scam. We took a few bites of it, took it to go and threw it away at our hotel. Huge waste of money. They tried to make up for how long the food took by comping a dessert. Their donut dessert. Which we took to go. It was crap. Even our kids didn’t like it. Would never go back and would not reccomend to others.

    Went on Thanksgiving, had reservation and still had to wait almost 30min while they had open tables. Service was also slow. Ordered the Thanksgiving feast special, turkey was dry and cold, the three green beans also cold. The panna cotta was the best part of the meal.

    My dad and I visited Timpano for our Thanksgiving dinner, and the food, service, and atmosphere were all lovely. It was our first time there, and we went with the traditional Thanksgiving prefix menu, but they did also serve their full regular menu. We plan to come back to try more of their menu options as they all looked delicious!

    We reserved for Thanksgiving dinner at Timpano - this was a first for us and we had heard horror stories from others about Thanksgiving "out' and how mediocre the food was. Well, this was NOT the case at Timpano! Wow! They were staffed up for the occassion and we were seated right on time. We chose to sit outside on what was a beautiful day, 68 degrees. The service was excellent - Corinne was absolutely amazing, so attentive and friendly. I ordered the Thanksgiving prixe fix which began with a delicious salad (my choice over soup) and included turkey with all the fixings, prepared perfectly, and panna cotta for dessert. My husband had the "old school roasted mussels" (OMG so good) and pasta caccio e peppe. All in all, our meal was flawless - food quality, service and ambience were perfection. All on Thanksgiving day! We will definitely be back on an non-holiday to indulge in this old favorite restaurant.

    We ordered from the special Thanksgiving menu The portions were larger than expected. For not cooking Thanksgiving food daily they did a good job. Expresso martini’s & Mimosa were delightful, the bartender was super friendly. We got there early and it got crazy busy quick so we waited a bit longer for our food than expected which wasn’t steaming hot when it came out, I’m not complaining we enjoyed not being rushed, and the kind waitress brought us some steaming hot gravy witch was perfect dumped on top of the mashed potatoes and turkey! We would go back there for sure we had a great time.

    Slow service, not just our table but all the tables around us. Appetizer meatballs were cold. Asked for extra bread with app and it took 30 minutes and multiple requests to arrive at our table. Pasta dishes were just ok, but for the price point not worth it. We all left hungry.

    Excellent food. we went at 6:30 on a Tuesday night and it was busy The loud noise took away from the ambience. But that happens sometimes in really good restaurants because they are so busy. So not a deterrent but noted. We ended up on the patio which was perfect because it was nice out. we had tableside PARM to table. IT WAS DELICIOUS AND WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. we added a side of chicken and eggplant Parmesan it was a perfect evening. I would definitely recommend going again. Also thank you for carrying the Frank’s Family Cab. I love this wine.

    I had the Whole Branzino and it was absolutely amazing. Also had the donuts for dessert and it was out of this world! My wife’s gluten free pasta has good flavor, but pasta wasn’t the best (compared to other places we’ve had it). Overall, highly recommend Timpano and we will be back! Our waitress was outstanding!!

    Made a reservation at timpano to celebrate a birthday and an achievement. Timpano went above and beyond with honoring my special request. As we were seated we were greeted by 2 servers whose service was unmatched. Never had better servers and they made our experience more enjoyable. The food was 10/10 as well as the drinks. You have a very satisfied customer who will be back in the future.
