   My branzino was excellent. The prices are on the expensive side for Houston, but my one course was well executed and I will return for another meal. The décor of the dining was much improved over the old décor and it was very quiet. Mondays are not a busy night.

   Service was very poor. When we showed up, valet was nowhere to be found for 5-10 mins. We were seated and then our waiter disappeared for the next 30 minutes, during which time the table next to us (different waiter) was seated, put in their order and ate their appetizers. Our waiter brought my wife a totally different entree than what she had ordered and when we told him this, he just gave us a confused “hmmm”.

   Elegant restaurant with outstanding brunch food. Waiter was attentive but not intrusive. Restaurant is in a restored, very well maintained historic house. We will be back!

   We’ve been here a bunch - we live right around the corner. This visit was just disappointing all around - food was really mediocre (pasta with burrata, snails and sweet breads, scallops, and beet salad) this time and service was almost nonexistent, despite us being one of only 3 tables in the dining room. For the price, the quality of food and service just wasn’t there this time.

   Stopped in for a quick dinner before the Muse concert on my birthday, and sat in the bar/lounge area. Tierra made my birthday awesome. Her recommendations were hits. The cocktails were perfect, and all the food we tried was really good. Can’t wait to go back in for dinner.

    Loved it better than any other time I have been there. Our server was very nice but seemed overwhelmed. Perhaps he was new but on the whole, all the service staff seemed to insure of their skills. The food was great, better than usual. It was a lovely spot to celebrate a birthday for a family member.

    Great brunch, wonderful ambience but pretentious and less than professional service. This was my second try here thinking the first time was a fluke. Unfortunately 2nd time was worse. Poured coffee that got cold before cream arrived. How hard is it to bring both at the same time?? Long wait for food to be dropped, literally dropped down on the table. No passion, no respect. A real shame in such a nice room with an obviously competent kitchen.

    I was very disappointed. The reservation said it was a birthday I told the waiter. It was the birthday girl and I would’ve expected like most other high-end restaurants that you would honor her birthday with a little dessert. If you didn’t do that kind of stuff you should’ve let me know so I could’ve planned ahead.

    The ambient is nice but does not have a vibe. Kind of boring. I went to many elegant restaurant but something about this place was not right. Instead of giving energy to the guests it somehow absorbed it. Additionally, the restaurant was quiet therefore the other table, the two ladies were sharing their life story to one another so loud that was disturbing. Overall, I do not recommend this place.

    Noise level was quite loud making it hard to carry on conversations. Food and service were average. Restuarant itself was nice and Saturday may not be the best day for dinner at this restaurant.

    Celebrated a new year with a dear friend, we requested a window table and it was honored without question. We enjoyed a crab cake, a delicious vegetarian eggs benedict and I had the French omelet which was all great temperature.

    We ate lunch, restaurant was mostly empty. Free valet parking., atmosphere posh and lovely. Quality of the food was very good, but overpriced for portion sizes (extremely small) Lunch for 3 (appetizers, entrees, shared dessert) was ~$300 including 2 total glasses of wine.

    Even though there were only three other tables eating at the same time as ours, the server didn't pay any attention to our table, left finished plates in front of us for 20+ minutes at a time, forgot that we had ordered the fixed menu, and was completely MIA when we attempted to pay. This relatively simple fixed menu lunch took far too long.

    We had been looking forward to trying the restaurant. The food was good, but not exceptional. Wine list was good but limited. Our real struggle was the delay or gaps in service. We will try it again, but the service was just off last night.

    What a beautiful and historic venue tastefully appointed. Had the Butternut squash appetizer which was mediocre - no flavor to the butternut squash at all which seemed to be over roasted. We ordered branzino and steamed red fish which were excellent, very strong and complimentary flavors, beautifully presented. We also order the marbled pommes which our waiter forgot and brought out late after we were able to reminded him. The art deco and turn of the century style furnishing and appointments seemed to be wasted with the loud club music that thumped throughout dinner. Still, I'd dine here again, but not as often because of the choice of dinner music played.
