After a culinary quest spanning two decades and three continents, our team brings the globe’s best tastes home to Connecticut. At Toro Loco, we evoke the warmth and glow of abuela’s kitchen table with fresh, modern twists on authentic Mexican and Spanish cuisine. We believe great food has the power to turn ordinary moments extraordinary, strangers into friends, and restaurants into communities.

We craft unpretentious food with heart and multicultural perspective. Every item on our menu is the product of thorough research, exhaustive effort, and incessant care for our guests. Our favorite part of the restaurant business is creating a space where everyone feels at home.

Women's bathroom had a busted seat in one stall and no TP in the other. The app plates was dirty and my beer kept sliding away from me on the painted tables. The food did taste very good.

The music was way too loud and the server said it could not be turned down. Too bad...we might have stayed for another glass of wine and/ or dessert.

This is honestly in the top 5 best restaurant experiences I have ever had in my life! The food was outstanding. The creativity of the dishes, flavor profiles and variety of options was perfect. The best part? Our service. Our server was unbelievably attentive and knowledgeable. As it was our first time there, he made many recommendations, all of which were amazing! We will definitely be back and next time with friends!

Music is way too loud. Mexican rap is not appealing if you are over 30. Keep in mind it’s moot a nightclub ans folks like to talk!

First and last time here. My wife and I thought we would give this place a try since seeing it was always busy when we drove buy. We made a reservation and were seated when we arrived. It took about 10 minutes for the waiter to come to the table. He asked if we would like some chips and guacamole which is normally free at most Mexican style restaurants, Not here, $9.00. As soon as we said is he turned and said be right back. Did not ask or give us a chance to order drinks. He returned with the chips in a brown paper bag which I assumed since they didn't come in a bowl that they may be warm. Not so. I felt that the guacamole was kind of bland. We both ordered strawberry margaritas at $12.00 a glass. Not the best i have had. We decided to have the Tacos for dinner. My wife had the Chicken tinga and the spicy tajin shrimp. When she ordered she asked if the chicken was really spicy. the waiter said it was not. She said her shrimp was ok but the chicken was way to spicy. I ordered the pork al pastor and also the shrimp. My pork was way over cooked and the whole thing was dry. My shrimp was not cooked and i did not finish it. A general note about the Tacos was that they were all served on cold taco shells. why would you not warm them on the grill for a few seconds. The only other thing we had was the crab tostada, It was very good. Our total bill came to$72. I left hungry and very disappointed.
