It was our first time trying Peruvian cuisine and it was excellent! The papas rellenas were similar to the rellenos I had in Puerto Rico in my late teens. I was ecstatic to find this dish locally. The flavors and textures were unique and well cooked and paired. (I had the shredded chicken and my partner had the lamb shanks) Dessert was delicious, made to perfection. They even had a sax player for live music. If you're looking for something out of the ordinary, quaint, and well run all around this is a great place to visit.
Incredible food, drinks and service. My husband’s mother is dying and was a nice reprieve from the stress and sorrow.. Will be back!!! Gem of Tucson!!! I cannot remember our waiter’s name but very handsome and incredibly poised.
Great dinner with my family and friends. Saxaphone player jamming the whole time, live music was a nice touch.
Excellent atmosphere and classy restaurant. Even being seated next to the service door wasn’t bad, just got to meet the whole family
Very authentic and all family owned and operated. Service helped us with the menu. Good and drinks were great.
Splendid food and experience! Great sax live music.
Our favorite place in Tucson hands down best service and food
We are frequent customers at Villa Peru. Frida and her family have made an inviting and delicious restaurant where you can relax and enjoy authentic Peruvian dishes. This is our favorite restaurant in Tucson.
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. This is a hidden treasure. And, by the way, the Pisco Sour was better than the one we had in Cusco!
Visit with family
Consistently excellent. Love being able to eat outside during covid. Right now, you just need to bring bug spray for your legs - like everywhere else.
Enjoyed the meal. Sitting was not ideal in a narrow corridor next to a service door. Service was fine.
Villa Peru is always a great place to eat. The food is always delightful and fresh tasting. The service is always amazing. I just love this place!
We traveled from El Paso to spend the long weekend and arrived directly to Villa Peru, we love the food and family owners.
This was our first time at Villa Peru and the food was delicious! Shim waited on us and he was attentive, friendly and personable. We will absolutely be back soon!
Great meal and really great attention and service by the entire staff. We've been here several times and have never been disappointed.
Food was excellent and the staff was amazing.
OMG the hostess is the worst, we had reservations for 5 people and sat us on a table for four!!!! Tried to talk to the manager “no luck “. The service was slow 🥺 The food was good thanks goodness that save the evening. On July 31st we had a table for 10. Four guess arrived when the rest of the guess arrived they were told that the restaurant was overbooked and had to wait 45 minutes!!! What’s going on with the Hostess?? The food is good 😌 however I get the impression that they don’t want my business , therefore next time I have company from out of town that is the last restaurant I am taking them!
Great friendly service . Food was deliciuos
As Texans and celebrating our Anniversary in Tucson, AZ it was and excellent choice " Villa Peru" outstanding food!
Fantastic family owned restaurant. It was our first time trying Peruvian cuisine. Frida guided us through selections and our meals were delicious. There was a musician playing the electric violin. It was a beautiful experience all around.
Celebrating my nephews birthday. Food good as usually! Service ok Hostess need a new one doesn’t know what is going on 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
We loved the ambiance, music, the food and most of all the peruvian family that runs and serves their customers. We had amazing conversations about Peru and enjoyed every minute of it.
We found Villa Peru by looking through the Opentable app. We highly recommend it. If you haven’t tasted Peruvian food you are missing out. It is very tasty and delicious. Their menu has a large selection of seafood, meats and vegetarian options. We ordered the Yucca dorada, chicken skewers appetizers and were awesome. The entres were all excellent: Chaufa, Saltado, and their steak. Of course we had to finish with the flan. So good! The ambiance is nice and the decor was done very well. Loved this place. Sad our son graduated from U of A and we will not be coming to Tucson anymore.
Excellent service. Excellent food. So happy we stopped here.
Celebrating Mother’s Day
We went for Mother’s Day and had a lovely time! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food and drinks were excellent! Highly recommend!
Everything was great! Would have had a better experience during the initial check in but other than that food and staff were excellent. Just recommend a better way to seat guests and separate those who had reservations.
We had family visiting so we shared a couple of dishes and we loved everything.
great food , plenty of options to cover any dietary needs
New to cuisine but waitress was very helpful. Foodwas excellent and the service great
Celebrating our move to Tucson. The service was amazing! Our server Chris was personable and made great recommendation for food and wine pairings. We will definitely be returning for many years to come.
Food was delicious and the service was excellent. It's not easy to find seafood that good in Tucson.
We traveled to Tucson to explore the area and to see what it had to offer. We had been disappointed in some of the meals we have had but were pleasantly surprised by Villa Peru. The Ceviche was delightful, service very good, and my entree of Peruvian dishes was a taste sensation. We were glad that we stumbled upon this gem in Tucson.
Our first visit and we enjoyed food, beverages, and service. Not being familiar with Peruvian cuisine our server was patient and helpful in making excellent decisions. Absolutely plan to return.
Our first time to Villa Peru was a delightful surprise. The food—especially the ceviche—was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meal. Cocktails were unusual and tasty, snd the service was outstanding. We sat on the back patio where there are only two tables. Make a reservation because there is limited seating and enjoy this restaurant gem.
Straight out of the Peruvian Lima backstreet. Remind me of the time I spent in Lima. The food was 100% authentic in the environment was classy respectful and very modern.
Superb meal and service. Shem was very helpful in helping us select our delicious Pisco drinks and meal. So much to choose from. The green sauce with plantain chips brought as we first sat down was a nice touch. I’ve already recommended your place to many people.
The food was very fresh and tasty. The service was outstanding. The waiter made good suggestions
