   It was recommended in an article to be one of the brunch places that has spectacular view but it turns out the place is too small, have very few food options. It's definitely not worth of the money I paid.

   We ate here before walking to the Golden Gate Theater. The food was incredible. Inventive, fresh, and delicious. I will make dining her before the theater a tradition.

   Overall Villon is a beautiful restaurant with great service and ambiance. The food, while tasty is very limited at noon. I would love to return but the very limited menu doesn’t beg a return visit. More choices are definitely needed at lunchtime.

    I took my girlfriends here yesterday to host my Bridesmaid's Proposal brunch. Prio to yesterday the team at Villon helped me make reservations and answered all of my party planning questions. They truly were great. Upon arrival yesterday, 40 minutes late from the St. Patrick's Day Parade I had no clue was going on, they greeted us with such hospitality and were not grumpy in the slightest over our lack of punctuality. At the table was a beautiful bottle of Champagne compliments of the Manager. Such a sweet touch and so appreciated. We ordered the bottomless mimosas which I believe were around $25 which feels like a pretty good deal for SF. Everyone ordered from the breakfast menu aside from my Maid of Honor who went full send on the buffet. She loved it and went back for thirds. I had the polenta breakfast entree and OH-EM-GEEEE was it delicious. We also ordered a ton of their french fries which tasted like they were cocked in duck fat (drooling as I type this). All of the girls loved their Brunch and loved the vibe of the restaurant even more. We got some really solid photos that I'll cherish forever and even better lifelong memories. An amazing experience to kick off all the wedding festivities this year. Will for sure be back :) My only complaint is that the rooftop bar, Charmaine's didn't open until 3-3:30 which feels kind of late. Would have loved to take in the view and order one last cocktail before we headed out.

    Really good. We came in with no expectations (we were just looking for a place to eat before a show) and found a wonderful designed, cozy room with a magnificent bar, a tremendous cocktail list, delicious food (shoulder of lamb for two is a must) and friendly but not overpowering service. A gem!

    This was a very special dinner. The beet vegetable starter was delicious. The two men in our group had the lamb shoulder for two. Exquisitely prepared with wonderful sides. The chicken was also so flavorful with bacon that was unreal. The Proper Martini was the best one my husband has ever had. The use of gin botanicals make it super special. Will absolutely be back!

    I like cozy sunday afternoon tea and Villon. Small place, but feel warm. Staff is nice and never rush us. Particulary I like european ambieance, walking into the lobby where I feel in Paris hotel. Love it. Food are good, which I expected for afternoon tea, better than I tried some other places. Will go again one day.

    The eggs in my dish were way over cooked. So bad that I couldn’t eat them. I should have sent it back. And my friend ordered the banana bread. Apparently they had to make it - but they didn’t tell him that. He just had to wait until a new one came out of the oven. They apologized for that and don’t charge him, but it would have been better if they’d told him. The chocolate bread was delicious.

    The menu was a problem. There was no small salad available and when asked about that the waiter went to the Bar Menu to get my wife one. My strip steak was inedible. Since it was only 6oz. I elected for a rare portion. It was served in two pieces and had a hard rind of fat and was very grizzled, making it difficult to chew. I told the waiter about the steak and to the restaurant's credit I was not charged. How do you let a piece of steak out of the kitchen like that? The service was great and the cocktails were delicious, but I came for dinner not drinks.

    We were celebrating a birthday and were presented with a birthday card, champagne toast, and an hors d’oeuvre. Very sweet. The restaurant is gorgeous, art everywhere. Servers were always coming by to make sure everything was fine, very attentive. The food was delicious. Loved the octopus. Also loved the lamb plate for two, an outstanding value, the onion gratin and the polenta were delicious and the lamb was cooked and served to perfection. The birthday girl, my daughter, had the sweet potato vegetable plate, and she loved it. We also had cocktails, which were beautiful and delicious. I can’t wait to come back.

    Great pre-theater restaurant. Our waiter was so attentive and the ambiance was excellent. I had been there before, but none of the other 5 had. Everyone was so pleased with the food, wine and service.

    Great place to have dinner or a drink before going to the theater (Golden Gate). Service was excellent. Food was great. Eating the Chefs Menu in the time from opening the restaurant till you have to leave for theater is a challenge. (A joyful one though). The staff works fast to serve you in time available but I would plan better next time:)
