Waltz recently opened in South Philly so you know we had to check it out. This new spot feels like it’s been a part of the Italian American red sauce places in Philly for decades and not weeks. We started out with a round of cocktails before diving into some appetizers. I loved the Shrimp Cocktail, especially the house made cocktail sauce. The Meatballs were seasoned so well and could be cut with a fork. And I loved the amount of parm of the Caesar Salad. We also had to try one of the Pizzas and I would order the Carbonara Pizza again! I loved the addition of potatoes and how crispy the guanciale was. I LOVED the Spicy Crab Lumache; to me, this is a must order dish. The duck ragu on the Papperdelle was addicting. For dessert, we tried an absolutely divine Andes Mint Gelato and a made to order Tiramisu. I am so stoked to have Waltz be part of the Philly food scene and definitely look forward to coming back.
