We have been frequenting this Italian restaurant on Hillcrest in Thousand Oaks for many years. It has changed hands, but everything seems to carry on the tradition of the past owners. The head waiter is still with the restaurant and takes good care of returning patrons. We celebrated our 35th anniversary last night, and everyone thought their food was excellent, especially the petrale sole special and the squash-filled ravioli.

New ownership, same great food and service. For the savory-minded, I recommend the fried risotto appetizer.

Extremely poorly managed restaurant: They did not let us know about a very limited menu when we made rez 7:00 reservations, finally got our table at 7:35 Saw people leaving because their food was late At 7:45 noone took our order. Dont even think about it. There are plenty of italian restaurants in ventura county.

The restaurant is ok. Management needs to work on training the waiters better. Overall not busy but they were slow in taking orders and serving food Not very attentive and foods quality was very marginal

The banner said under new ownership, but all the style, food and excellent service remained with the veteran crew. The food was delicious and the service was personable and outstanding. The homey small shop feel made it feel like family dinner instead of a restaurant. Will return again.

Excellent service and warm greeting on arrival! Food was delicious and the Branzino Special should always be on the menu!
