   Food seemed very overpriced. Menu was bilied as “uncomplicated” farm to table but most of the dishes had multiple (unfamiliar to us) ingredients. My pork collar was tasty but way undercooked - sent it back and they kindly replaced the entire plate. The bavette steak was almost raw. Dessert (cranberry and fig crisp) was delicious.

   This was our second visit. The first time was such a great experience, we decided to make it a priority when back in the Asheville area. The meal was extraordinarily delicious! We had brussel sprouts for an appetizer. They were amazing! My husband had the sea bass and I had trout. Followed by dessert. It was the best meal we have had in a long time! The wait staff was attentive but did not hover. Which made the meal very enjoyable.

   For around $50 a person you’d expect not to be seated on a bench 15 inches from the people next to you. Also, to seat people side by side in a totally empty restaurant is and interesting choice. Food was okay, nothing special. Wouldn’t recommend.

   This was our second meal at Rhubarb and we were definitely impressed with the food and service! The menu is not large but changes regularly to give diners a chance to try new items. The freshness, presentation and creative use of locally sourced farm to table veggies & meats is amazing! We are already looking forward to our next visit.

    Our meal was a bit uneven. The cocktails and appetizers were solid as we enjoyed the lovely trout, moose and goat cheese Barada. Our entrées, however, were a bit of a letdown as my hanger steak was very sinewy and tough and my wife’s striped bass in papillote was lacking flavor, and was presented to us in papillote in a brown craft bag, which I personally considered to be totally inappropriate for that Technique. The fish stuck to the bag it did not hold a steam inside as you would get with parchment paper, and I just felt it was not what was up to par for the presentation.

    Wow - what wonderful food! The hush puppy appetizers are amazing, great flavorful sauce. The trout entree incredible!! Smoky, textured, greens and roasted fennel and the spices make a truly outstanding dish. Ambience was great as we lucked out w a table for 2 tucked into a cubby! Wine selection really well curated and priced very reasonably.

    Our entrée was cold... Ordered the rabbit for two which came with a potatoes and leeks. The sauce and potatoes were very good. The rabbit however was cold and had not been heated up since being pulled from the refrigerator or wherever the food prep area was. And not just room temperature, the entire thing was cold to the touch except for the very top of the rabbit. Mentioned this to the server when they came to check and the manager as well, they reheated it and apologized. The reheating took longer than when we initially ordered the food which also was annoying. Maybe we just came on a bad night, sundays could be when they're trying to get rid of the week's specials. Willing to bet they're better on other nights.

    Seated promptly. Server was good a little slow but she was handling several tables. Explained menu well and provided insight on favorite dishes. Cocktail list was small wine list was average but had good prices. Food tasted great and was at appropriate temptress when served. Worth the stop if in Ashville.

    I had an incredible meal at rhubarb. The staff was very friendly. Their recommendations were spot on. I ordered the sweet potato and miso soup which was a tip from my server. It was an explosion of flavor and I’m so glad she suggested it because I would not have ordered it on my own. The goat cheese burrata was one of the best dishes I have had in a long time. Light and full of flavor. I would order this again and again. Can’t wait to go back.

    Our server Kelsey was fantastic. When asked about dishes or drinks they offered tasting notes and flavor profiles rather than just "Oh, it's good!" That helped us pick some delightful items from the menu. Great first experience at Rhubarb!

    Great night out at Rhubarb. Five of us had so many things — especially liked the cocktails, Brussels sprouts, fry bread, and meringue dessert. The price was really reasonable given all we had!

    Drinks, app, entrees we're very good. We got Old fashions -1local,1reg; buratta, trout and steak. All we're made perfectly, and the flavors were really good. Pot dé creme for dessert, again really good. The buratta was on point perfect and the fruit slices really brought the dish together nicely and gave it such a nice touch.

    Where we sat it was drafty. The food was good. Steak needed seasoning and was hard to cut at medium rare. The presentation of the chicken dish should be better not in a big casserole dish that is half empty.

    Sat at the chefs counter in back and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was exceptional. Pimento Cheese Hushpuppies to die for crispy on outside yet soft fluffy inside and I don’t even like pimento cheese yet loved these. The simple salad was so fresh and amazing the way the flavors melded. Then the sunburst trout for main course which was plenty of food, cooked perfectly, light and tasty. Wonderful evening can’t wait to visit again when in Asheville next.

    Valentine's day meal went wrong. Extremely late being seated even though we had a reservation. Time between meals was laughable. 4 course meal took 3 hours and each course was a bite or two of food. Didn't make sense waiting that long between. Shrimp served was cold and tasteless. Overcooked vegetables. Best thing we ate the whole meal was the truffle given with the check. Big bummer
