Dear Richmond,
This little restaurant is our love letter to food. It's our happy little place, where we get to live the joy of feeding people everyday. We all grew up in spaces that equated food with love, just like this place. Everything we have done here is deliberate, from the art on the walls to the produce we use. We've made a point of sourcing ingredients from some of the best suppliers in the state, making sure that our menu reflects what's in season.

For us, this place is about experience: we try our best to make you feel both at home and 'out for something special'. Every plate that comes back wiped clean by someone who just couldn't get enough is a 'the hard work is worth it' moment for us.

essentially once a long, narrow, brick shed has been transformed into a
wood-fired, wine-fuelled bistro. This is Motor, a neighbourhood wine bar/bistro

room or perched at the bar, we have the ability to suit any occasion. We use the
timeless wisdom of wood fire cooking to celebrate local and seasonal ingredients

In 1959, brothers Tony & Nick Anassis established a single fronted retail outlet next to the train line in Church Street Richmond. Whilst one brother shucked oysters and filleted fish for sale to local residents, the other established relationships with pubs and restaurants in and around Melbourne through door-to-door promotion of their wares.

From this humble beginning our small family business has grown to be one of the most respected seafood establishments in Melbourne. Today, Richmond Oysters retains its iconic heritage, continuing to operate from our original location. Our wholesale operations are complemented by our retail seafood display, take-away fish’n’chips and a world class restaurant dining experience.

Sher Singh is more than just a restaurant, it's a celebration of Indian culture and cuisine. we emphasises Indian historical cuisine and provides traditional North Indian delights by deriving influence from ancient Indian cooking methods and spice combination.
Our Cuisine
The taste and flavours of the north Indian dishes are influenced by the Mughal dynasty that ruled India for three centuries. Food was rich and cooked with aromatic spices, nuts, and dried fruits that time in India's history. Our cuisine preparation is time consuming and intricate, given the numbers of flavourful sauces and butter based curries, almost as if it was designed to make people want more food.
Our Atmosphere
At Sher singh, we believe that dining out should be a memorable experience. That's why we have created a warm and inviting atmosphere that celebrates the beauty of Indian culture. From the decor to the music, every element of our restaurant has been carefully curated.
